Sonic shop-what would you do?

Hey! I had a Sonic shop originally for yesterday and it was a drive in shop. I pushed the button and the employee said something like “Due to falling temperatures we are only using the drive thru.” I rescheduled the shop for today as it was only 28 yesterday and 48 today and sunny. I was in the area again today so the only reason I rescheduled and I pushed the button and this time they said “We are only taking orders on the patio and drive thru.” I went ahead and went through the drive thru just in case the MSC would rather that than canceling the shop. I wrote into the MSC but waiting for an answer on if they want the shop or for me to just cancel. Have any of you ran into this situation with this shop? Thanks for any info!

I did run into this. The reply I got back was "follow the instructions in your guidelines".

Sure enough, when I got home and looked at the ENTIRE guidelines, buried in the oodles of info (somewhere on page 5, I think, LOL), were precise instructions on what to do.

I rescheduled the shop and redid it.
Yes - this is covered. They are very specific that you may NOT use the drive-thru on a drive-in shop even if they ask you to.

At the end of the guidelines, "What ifs" are covered:

1. What if I can't order because no one answers and I have waited for 5 minutes? Switch stalls and wait up to 5 minutes again. If still no response, evaluate cleanliness and the POP menu cards and then leave. Enter 99:00 for Q1 and Q2 and answer No to all other questions.

2. What if my order never arrives? Wait 20 minutes then evaluate cleanliness and the POP menu cards and then leave. Answer No to the questions you were not able to evaluate.

3. What if the Drive-In or stalls are closed? Evaluate cleanliness and the POP menu cards. If you are asked to go through the Drive-Thru instead, DON’T. Enter 99:00 for Q1 and Q2 and answer No to the questions you were not able to evaluate.

In 10 years of shopping Sonic, I have had all 3 happen. I followed the guidelines and got paid. A couple of times, instead of following those guidelines, I rescheduled like ceasesmith did. That works fine, too, except then you do have to make another trip.
Thank you guys!! I did read through it and knew about the moving to another stall etc if you weren’t helped within the stated timeframe but somehow missed the if its closed, thanks for that!
