Is that good or bad? I don't know what you are trying to say.

I'm not trying to say anything except answer the common thread we get about hourly, yearly, etc pay. This was what I did this week. I'm offering data.

I’m confused. Does the $162.75 include the reimbursement for the fine dining?

The $162.75 represents the reimbursements.
Sounds to me like a fine mix of life-style shopping with reimbursements for things you may have paid out of pocket for, if you chose to.

I cannot afford "life style" shopping. For one, the hours that it would take me to drive there would make it not profitable, and for two, I don't have the resources to front the expense.

But for those who can and do, hat's off.

Or "hats off", your choice.

We ordinarily would not go out to eat. I would cook. So, it's been novel. The week before, we were off, and I actually earned some money. The food shops are with my husband, so it's time we spend together doing something novel.

Any interest in a thread on what we actually make week to week with this?!?

I'd love to see a thread like that! This week I made
$25 - fees
$50 - restaurant reimbursement
Couldn't do any work this weekend because I was in the field playing army, but I did eat good for the first 4 days at least!
This week was slim pickins' but I did 10 shops for $182 in fees and $170 in fine dining reimbursement. All the others were a mix of straight fees for banks, tax location audits, one gas station and miscellaneous jobs.

Lucky duck.
I have not seen one go over $25 in CA in a long time.
I hadn't either - since The MSC acquired GFK's mystery shopping. I think it was one that popped up last-minute due to a flake or failed shop... There were three. I requested two and got one. The other did not have Saturday hours.

I was lucky: I wasn't planning on shopping Saturday at all until Friday night. I didn't have time to plan a route properly, etc.

$200 fine dining reimbursement; no fee - went over by $30.

$60 bank job fee.

Casual lunch $15 reimbursement; no fee.

I work full-time; MS is a side dalliance with nice perks.
Zero. Zilch. Nada.

If only I had a car.

A particular MSC who banned me from working with schedulers was so desperate, they called me. I asked if I am still banned, and they said yes, would I please take the jobs right off the job board?

Not on your life, babycakes!
$78 fees for teller and retail (no purchase)
$75 for 4 JIB (spent $26)
$5 fee + $8.93 reimbursement for a yummy DoubleDouble.

I was happy with the teller ($50) and retail ($28) fees. Fees that high are rare for me.
This MSC is noted for never explaining deactivations/bannings.

I am allowed to take jobs off the job board, so I'm not deactivated.

But I can no longer route shop for the company, because how can you build a route if you cannot communicate with schedulers?

I do have 3 "declined" or invalid shops in over 10 years with this company, and way, way over 2,000 shops completed for them.

There was an opinion voiced that I (and many other shoppers) were banned because we ask for and get significant bonuses.

But you can't shop an 800 mile route on base-pay jobs and make a profit.

What in the world?? Why would they ban you from working with schedulers??
None the less, but it takes some pair of you know what for a MF MSC to make such a half hearted offer. Good for you Cease.
@Niner, loving your post. Very interesting. It would be most interesting if participators share the time and expenses incurred by them to get there and back.

I take it to mean that the OP made $35 last week as a full-time shopper. I would be interested to know how he/she survives on only $35/weekly income.
She has a full time job and shops for the perks. She stated that in her OP.

Actually she did say that she was a full-time shopper. She put right at the bottom "Main job- full time"
AZ I took that as, she has another job (full-time) also. She strikes me as a life-style shopper.
I believe that Niner meant she works full-time at her main job. From what I remember, she is a teacher.

I mystery shop in addition to my main job, which is teaching math and physics.

I used to be an attorney. I now am a teacher and mystery shop as a side gig.
