Irresponsible MSCs during Coronavirus....

It amazes me that fresh food is what's being hoarded. My local grocery stores are out of meat, fresh fruit and veggies, and dairy. A lot of those things will only last a week. Why hoard them?

I am not sure if it's so much hoarding or if some people have a lot of kids who are home from school...they tend to eat quite a bit.

Additionally, some people live on food purchased from restaurants. With a lot of restaurants being closed, people are forced to cook, LOL! And even though drive thru and carryouts are still being conducted in many states, people might be scared of eating food someone else prepared.

I got an email announcing a “temporary pause” of evaluations. Yours might be in your inbox.

HAHAHAH I live in a Trump state it's business as usual here. No restaurant closings at all. They all seemed to be about as busy as usual today when I went out for a drive*.

My delusional oldest brother believes that this will all be over and back to normal in 2 weeks. The other 5 of us are snickering at him.

If we are lucky and it isn't one of those mutating viruses that you can catch over and over again.

Maybe it's demographic. I was out today doing my regular grocery shopping, and at Aldi & Walmart both, there was an abundance of fresh fruits and veggies. TP??? Not so much, although WMart was bringing out a HUGE pallet of TP while I was there. I don't need any, so I skeedaddled out of that aisle!!
Sent 6 hours after the shop notices.

Yeah, as others have said, some job boards are automated. Or, maybe the decision to suspend was made in those six hours.

I was able to get two using the mobile app. Website was not working right for me either. Try the app. There were a ton of them available.

I got that email and went to the website and followed the instructions, using the zipcode provided in the email. The website isn't functioning properly, however.

Yes, I think it is demographic. Here on LI there is plenty of fresh fruit and veggies. We did some grocery shopping today and found grapefruit, apples, lemons, peaches, asparagus, potatoes, peppers, etc. Paper goods were scarce and no hand sanitizer. Fortunately my wife is a very good cook and she made the corned beef tonight that wasn't available last week. Plenty of chicken and chicken cacciatore is on the menu for this weekend along with chicken Fancese (that I will make) for next week. Also found a top round on sale that will turn into roast beef and potato pancakes. The Mexican border has been closed so all you avocado lovers will be in trouble and will also probably affect grapes and other fruit. Food has not been a problem. We buy what is available and only what we need. We normally buy out paper goods at Costco so we have not run out and although were out of tissues and paper towel towels, I was able to fin TP earlier this week

We are not panicking and will continue to buy as needed, wash our hands often and keep our social distance when possible. Glad to see most grocery stores have an employee at the entrance wiping down the carts as customers enter and having hand wipes available.

I just received this email from The Source that reminded me of the discussions on this and other threads. Sounds like some ideas some posters had:

Yeah...that's basically the shop posting I was hoping to see. No pressure to go. Just report on the progress if you happen to be there...usable information!

But they are competitor shops. *Not* for their main client. Three weeks ago, I began reporting to their main client I felt unsafe due to associates touching their face and not washing/sanitizing their hands after. Guess their main client doesn't want to know how irresponsible their own employees are.

ETA search zip code 57401 on The Source website. Somebody tell me if I've violated ICA.

I applied for a bunch of them earlier today after they fixed the website. I didn't get any assigned to me, applications are pending. It's got to be quitting time over on the West Coast, so I guess I am going to be sitting around doing nothing all weekend.

Trendsource was still scheduling grocery shops in CA as of yesterday. Total and complete disregard for safety.

They finally cancelled my weekend shops. They are conducting some $2.00 shops regarding safety.
They pay $10 and reimburse $2.

I got an email for a focus group earlier and was thinking WTH!...and then read that it's going to be held online over video chat. I'm in for that. $250 while I'm already stuck at home....
Those with coupons app do not care at all. I sent them emails prior to C-19 happens and never got any replies..

I saw a notice about a class in "how to boil water". and other things for those who don't have a clue.
Good news avocado lovers. I was wrong. The closing of the Southern border won't affect normal trade.
That is great. Yesterday I made my first run to the grocery since the real panic set in.The top of my list was chips and salsa. Now I don't have to worry about Avocados.

The MSC I do most of my shops for seems to be responsible. They shortened deadlines for their open shops, I have never seen the Open Opportunities so low. All my shops are marked Ok to Pay....looks like they are the last ones I will be doing for a while.
They are $2 a piece here. As much as I love them, nope.

The testing site jobs in greater LA are still being advertised along with one at Costco. I doubt they are still holding those group tests where you try to "cheat" but I notice the date of the job goes out to April 16th . People who are optimistic about the course of the virus may be very interested in securing jobs for mid April.
