Loan Shopping - worth it?

I see requests from one MSC for shoppers to evaluate the lending process, based on shoppers with a certain credit score....student loans, consumer loans, etc.

I am curious about these. If anyone has done them, can you comment on whether it was worth the effort? Pay is usually between $100-$200, which could be worthwhile, unless the MSC is expecting a written thesis on the whole experience.

Thanks

I have done quite a few of those and really like them. And, I have done the higher pay ones, with hard credit "hits," with no drop in my credit score.

OMG yes they are worth it. Can't wait until the 90 day rotation is up so i can do the same lenders again.
These are literally the easiest, high paying shops around.

I completed one such assignment in Feb. for $175. I was probably in the office 20 minutes, with a report time of 1/2 hour; pay arrived in 16 days. My credit score only dropped 13 points, but still has not rebounded.
Use an alternate junk email address because the finance companies WILL fill up your inbox with follow ups, new offers and, "are you sure?" Emails.
I have seen those, but my credit score does not fall in the range. :-( However, I have done many shops for the same MSC. They are great.

I don't know what kind of shop fees you normally get, but they must be pretty nice. smiling smiley

I do not know if this is the same ones that you guys are talking about but I had done one back in Dec of 19. It had a $75 bonus attached to it. The shop was easy as heck. The reporting they said that I went overboard with it. Said in the follow up that they did not want all of the details. I left out all of the and's, & but's and other pauses. They still paid me even if Zelle would not work for me. I guess it is because I am using an MVNO as my cell phone provider But they did eventually mail me a check.
Absolutely love doing these — the MSC is absolutely one of the best around, they pay quickly and always price fairly. They have multiple schedulers, so you’ll get different offers from different people for various credit scores. My credit score usually is in the “high middle” range and bounces up and down as I finesse it... and I never seem to have an issue picking one of these up every 90 days.
