Lawmate PV-RC300FHD Video Problems

I ordered a Lawmate PV-RC300FHD, works perfectly! This morning, all that was working when I recorded was the audio. The timestamp and the audio was working, it just recorded black in the video clips. I moved the files off the SD card whather then playing it directly form the SD card and it still played the same. I reset the unit but still, same problem.

I would guess one of 2 things. The cam was not fully plugged into the DVR or the cam wire broke. With my HD model the DVR will lock up if the cam is not fully plugged in. I have had to replace the cam twice and I don't use it very often. I hate to be the bearer of bad news.......

I have had that happen to me too while using the PV500 L3 and EVO. If you do not plug in the camera all the way into the DVR, or the camera connection becomes slightly dislodged while in your pocket, bra, etc., then you tend to get audio, but no video. It's a bummer for sure!
I use a small piece of electrical tape to secure the camera plug into the unit. Never leave home without black electrical tape, is what I was taught when I was trained. Every unit that I have used since 2005 (long predating the PV-500 series) had a similar issue.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
If you've never used an HD model before (I know very few people in the MS industry have them), the cam connection is different. It's not a mini RCA plug like the others, it's a blade type plug. It's difficult to plug it in without getting it all the way plugged in. Mine won't turn on without a camera plugged in and if the camera isn't plugged in correctly it attempts to come on and locks up. I seriously doubt this is the issue. Besides, with the standard cam if you're not plugged all the way in you generally get video but no audio as opposed to audio but no video.
