I Shop Safe shops

Could someone tell me what they actually involve? Are they revealed or secret? How many photos? Are there really 68 questions?

Thank you.

I did two today, a drug store and donut shop. They were painless. Photos are mostly of the exterior, signs and such. Inside they want a photo of the distance markings if they are present. Photo icons appear depending on how you answer the question so there may be more depending on your answers. I had selected two gas stations, but let them fall off because I know they had no store and gas was not allowed for the purchase, so not knowing how they would handle it, I decided to skip them. Plus I think it would be awkward to hang around a gas station office for no good reason and remain anonymous. They reimburse $3 for the purchase.

I can do that! It is just a variation of other app shops. But it requires a selfie. A selfie!!!!!

What's the issue with the selfie?
I do not do selfies.

I did not do a selfie but the shops showed purple pins and I completed the maximum of 2. Both accepted.
Selfies are optional. Smart phones are not. Report is due 12 hours after signing up.

Yes, I've heard that. Why?
With Observa a selfie is required to show you are professionally dressed. The app camera, however, does not turn into selfie mode. I take a picture of something like my shoe or the sky.

I have done the two that are allowed. One sent me an email saying it was accepted and crickets on the other one. They were both done on Friday I guess it will be Monday or this evening before I can pick up another two.
@2stepps

Others who have done them have stated on another thread that there is a limit of 2 that can be done. Yeah, they said 2 at a time, but that's not the truth, it's 2 total.
The selfie is just required to pass the certification. I did two today and did not have to submit a selfie.
Nope Nope Nope
The selfie is only if you want to do the video report portion of the shop, And I saw that and thought that most people will not do it because of them being mystery shoppers who relies on not being known.

Seriously? With a mask on? No one is going to be able to tell what you look like with a mask on.

And no, it is only for a certification for I Shop Safe. I know because I took it.
I had managed to get three assigned to me because I jumped the gun and it disappeared because it was not supposed to start for two days. But it disappeared and I picked two that were closer to home. What I want to know is why they make us dig for a list of pictures that may or may not be required. because I can take a pix on the phone while I'm calling someone or texting someone. Then email the pix to me and I will get it on my tablet and send it on.
Yeah the picture requirement was confusing. Instructions or overview said, I think, up to 5 pictures. Not knowing what they would be, I just discreetly snapped pics of compliant or non-compliant issues. Got out to the car to fill out the report and all they wanted was a pic of the receipt. Well, that was easy, at least.
The ones I did the other day required a picture of the markings on the floor as well as the receipt and any signs on the front door. I did two of them and I guess that is all I can do./ Too bad they were really easy.
Well, so far, I've been able to do 3 IShopSafe shops. I did one on Friday, and 2 today. So I'm not sure what IPSOS means by their "2 shops" limit. Maybe it just means 2 in one day.

ETA: The one I did last week was on Friday, not Saturday.

I did 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. Both of them are awaiting review. If there were certain items/signs present outside or within the store, a pic was required. No pics for items near the register. The only selfie I had to take was of me in a cloth mask for the certification.

Were you able to self-assign all 4 from Presto?
I was able to self assign the 3 total that I've done so far from the Presto app on my cell phone. But I only did one on Friday. Today, I self assigned the first of two all by itself. When I finished, I felt like doing another one and searched and found another one near me that I self assigned. But I didn't try self assigning 2 at once. I'd be interested in finding out if anyone has been able to successfully do that as well.
This is from their FB page posted on Sunday.
Ipsos Mystery Shopping US
There's a limit of 2 right now so that we can give all our shoppers a chance to get some work. We'll open it up further on Monday, so be sure to check back ????
They've opened them up, sometime in the last few hours, in my area. Someone (or more than one someone) has grabbed almost every shop in the area...with a 12 hour time limit, I don't see how they'll get them done...is there something I don't know here?
I was able to do 2 on Friday. After completing them, the rest of the available shops disappeared from my map. But my Friday shops were approved (and paid) today (Monday). After I was notified that they were approved, the rest of the available shops reappeared on my map.

I was able to do 2 more today, signing up directly on the Presto app. It seems like the 2-at-a-time limit might be gone now, since I can still see (and potentially sign up) for the rest of the available shops in my area, even though I did 2 today (Monday) which are still waiting for final approval. But I'm pretty sure a good portion of the locations listed in my area are still closed for in-store visits (they are drive-thru or curbside-only right now), so it wouldn't be possible to conduct the shops for those locations at present.

In regards to the photos required...I think it depends on how you answer the questions on the survey. If you answer "yes" for some questions, they will want a photo documenting the applicable signage/markings/etc. For example, if you answer that there are directional and social distancing signage outside the location/building, you will be asked to provide a photo of that. But if there are none present (and so you answer "none" to the question), you won't have to upload a photo (since there would technically be nothing to photograph).

You had to do a selfie of your masked face to pass the test.
I guess I didn't pass then, but I did them and already got the PayPal. This why it's "mystery shopping," whether you can or can't, is always a mystery!
