I. Just. Can't. The whole Disney enterprise is, to me, way too expensive to deal with and, for what? Because everyone else is going? Kids saw commercials? Spend a couple months rent on something that is "Make believe" and have nothing afterwards but some pictures, overpriced mouse ears and a sunburn? But humans are followers. They will go where society tells them to. And who wants to walk or stand in line in 100 degree heat with a mask on? Sounds pretty miserable to me. Never wanted to go there before and double-don't now!
LOL
I guess the things I enjoy spending my money for might seem just as wasteful to others who don't enjoy what I enjoy.

$100+ per day to ski at -15°C.
Or the $200+ Hubby is happy to pay to go to hockey.
Oh, no. Customized mouse ears are very important. Mind you, I lost mine somehow during a long-ago move, but they were mine. My lil' name was stitched onto them! They. Were. Miiiiiiiinnnnnnnneeeeeeeee!!!! grinning smiley

Everyone has things/ places/ etc that make them happy. It's not because of being a follower, it's just what we like!

I will not visit Disney until Festival of Fantasy and Happily Ever After are reinstated. I would visit the first day they are open if those weren't canceled. Yes, my husband and I have spent THOUSANDS and will continue to do so.
Well if he thinks he's going to hold a news conference and announce the results, he should understand that Demings will trample him to get to the cameras first.

We went 25x a year or more for over 10 years. It was a huge part of my kids' childhood.
Minnie ears used to be $12. I think that they are $28 now?

We live too far away to go that often but DEFINITELY would if we were closer! The 'classic' ears are still rather cheap, less than $20 I believe. (Before adding a name)
My kids all have the classic ears with their names. My older two boys don't have any other ears. My 8 yr old son has Capt. America ears with his name, his twin sister has Ariel headband ears and the headband ears with interchangeable bows (she only has the Belle bow)
My youngest daughter also has Olaf ears with her name, we were pixie dusted with the embroidery for her name!
In college, we had annual passes that were $100 each. Would hang out at Videopolis all night -- until the gangs bought passes and made it their turf. Disney took it down after that.

No way would I pay to go somewhere and be forced to wear a mask.

Screw Disney they re the ones that messed up the copyright & trademark laws. All because Mickey got old.
