I had an excellent veggie sandwich on Monday. I actually ordered it with extra mushrooms, grilled jalapeños but no green peppers, hot sauce and pickles on the side. They did an excellent job, it even seemed like they wrapped the veggies in til foil to carry it over to put on the bun carefully. With the new higher prices I just came in under the max, but that was with a regular fries and large drink.@KokoBWare wrote:

Re: DoorDash, I have had that idea cross my mind, but Doordash is unlike Uber where the time a driver is called does not align with when you place an order, since there is a delay between when the order is ready for a driver to be called. LOL, a late-dinner dine-in where they nuked my MAO more than a week ago for $1 above board price is still on the board for the original price (and with the MAO button still waving proudly in the breeze). They've moved the available dates out to Monday 4/12.
They are riding this nobody-wants-it bomb down like Slim Pickens riding the nuke to earth in "Dr. Strangelove" lol. For a buck more I would have had the report signed sealed and delivered to them long ago.

They still have delivery shops for two locations in my area from last month on the board for $10. Also have this month's shops for $8. No MAO. I called yesterday and left a message saying that I'd be willing to do the one near me for the $15-20 I've gotten previously, and they should call me. No one did. It seems like they don't really care if a few of them don't get completed.@KokoBWare wrote:

Do certain locations get removed from the shopping program? There are two locations near me, one is quite near (about 4 miles), the other maybe 25 miles, that I've shopped multiple times. I haven't seen either on the board in a few months. They're both still in business.

If you’ve done them recently then you are out of that location’s rotation, probably.

I contacted the MSC, and they claimed there was nothing on their end blocking me from seeing it. It finally came back. Usually I have a lot of picks come Saturday night, this time I took one for $15 on Sunday that was the nearest geographically to a few other shops I'm doing that day. I really had only one other option for that day that wouldn't have taken me too far out of the way. Haven't seen FG shops disappear like this since pre-Covid, wonder if many of those who benched themselves during Covid are starting to edge back in.

I got an email from Samantha offering $23 for a location I normally get $25 on, but it was offering it through Tuesday while online is only through Monday. I want to go on Tuesday, so I debated taking it but am undecided. Someone took the dinner shop that was also available.@KokoBWare wrote:

Finally gave in and took the delivery shop for only $10. I called the scheduler guy, and he said that they don't even handle the delivery shops. I guess that's why no one calls about them? Very odd but I guess that explains why the March shops were still out there at $10. Doordash pricing here isn't all that bad, and I can get a little burger and fries and lemonade for $15.10 with tax.

Picked up 3 shops for this weekend. All veggie sandwiches.
Got salmon and shrimp burger patties ready at home to put on the grill after the shops, and maybe add on some other toppings like guac too.
And have an onion, bell pepper, jalapeño mix to stir fry and mix in with some of the fries for each of my meals too.

1st of 3 Five Guys shops done. And yes. I did take a small bite of the sandwich and fries during the visit to properly evaluated flavor, temperature, etc. per shop guidelines

Most of the DD drivers do not follow the rules and yet DD customer support does nothing about it.
What rules are you talking about, and what does this have to do with the FG shops? I'e never had any problem with the DD drivers on my FG shops.@Isaiah4031a wrote:

Wonders never cease. Was able to negotiate a nice bonus with a scheduler tonight on a FG 3 miles from me that I swear wasn't on the board yesterday when I made that "they flew off the board this weekend" post. Thank you flaker, wherever you are!

Continued MAO idiocy. This week's shops finally moved out to Tuesday, so I put in for my usual $25. Got rejected almost immediately. The shop is still available and now up to $20.
An FG shop got bonused up to $15 and MAO, so I requested $19. While I was waiting for approval, "Samantha" emailed and asked if I would do it for $19. I emailed back that I would. While I was waiting, I got a phone call offering me $13. I said that the job board was $15 and Samantha was $19 and was told that he could only offer me $13 since that is how much I did it for the last time. I said that I would wait for Samantha. He said someone else might get it. I said that I would take my chances. Someone else got it. For how much, I have no idea. Presumably somewhere between $9 and $19. Bonkers.

As I've noted previously, schedulers offering "lowball" offers (below board price) is something I've noticed since the end of the Covid shutdowns in spring 2020. Never saw it before that. It STINKS. That's why I never take a scheduler call "live" now unless I happen to have the MSC site up on my laptop or phone and can immediately check the board price. Otherwise I let it go to voicemail and call back once I'm armed with the facts. Sucks to have to do business this way but if the MSC wants to play dirty, I'm ready.@myst4au wrote:

Disclaimer: I still love working with this MSC on balance, just a little cheesed about this change.

@KokoBWare Totally agree with you about being frustrated by schedulers offering fees lower than those posted on the board. They also seem much more reluctant to negotiate. 5G jobs are hard to come by in my area, so I haven't been doing nearly as many as before covid.

Twice this month I’ve had MAO for my usual rate rejected. Within minutes an overseas scheduler called and offered me $5 less than the usual rate. I declined and they agreed to submit an offer for the usual rate which was quickly accepted.
If I’m driving and can’t check my old assignment emails I simply ask “What did I get last time?” The scheduler can look it up quickly.
For the current round of shops (now at $20) some further higher paying shops were accepted at my usual rate but some closer lower paying shops were declined even using the scheduler offer submission system.

Here's a new one. I just called to try and get that location assigned to me. After three attempts I finally spoke to someone who told me that I have a "web only restriction" on my account and that apparently the phone people cannot schedule me. Has anyone ever heard of something like this?

Here's a question I should know the answer to but don't see it clearly answered in the guidelines. If I do a lunch shop that ends at 3:45, do I need to be finished by that time, or just arrive and order by that time? I'd normally go much earlier, but I have a dinner pickup shop nearby for someone else that I can only get starting at 4, so I took the nearby FG figuring I could order my dinner while at FG.
Given that there is a 30-minute gap between the end of the lunch shops and the start of the dinner shops, I'm thinking that it's the arrival time that matters.

Over the weekend I got a phone call about a shop that is not convenient to my house, but just happened to be down the road from my last shop today. I accepted it and did a little happy dance. However, when I looked at paperwork I realized it was for the wrong time period. Sometimes the overseas schedulers are hard to understand,
