Those shake machines can have dead roaches as well as chemical residue and rotten shake mix. Trust me, I've seen it! They just fall right in and if you don't climb a chair to look inside before filling it, you'll never know.
You hit the nail on the head, sestrahelena! Yes, often the food was very good--esp. the Shroom Burger--but, at almost $20.00 for a basic, one-person meal, this and other "fluffed-up" fast food restaurants are far too over-priced.@sestrahelena wrote:

Did you know the Shake Shack Cookies and Cream Shake is 850 calories, 44 g fat (24 g saturated fat, 0 g trans fat), 580 mg sodium, 98 g carbs (0 g fiber, 86 g sugar), 19 g protein? Think of the lower-fat real food you can eat for those calories!

Not sure if I posted this before in this forum, but I always just taste the shake and then bring home the rest to freeze. I eat portions of it over a period of time just like ice cream.

Kathy, are they back where you live? We only have pick up now in restaurants and I have not heard a peep about any of the food shops I used to do.
