I did a shop for a fast food chain in Pagosa Springs CO. I got to the window and there was a card reader next to the window to pay for the food. The chip reader was not working so I swapped the card. It said it went threw so I did not think any more about it when they asked me to pay again. I told them it had been swiped they ,checked ,saw it had and gave me the food.
On this shop I use my PayPal Mastercard. It came threw on my email that charge was made to paid that location. I found out that I had been charged the WRONG amount on the card the next day. I called the location and talked to the manager and told them about the problem, I did not tell them this was a mystery shop. I was told that you have to what for them to clear the carder reader or you pay for the amount before. I was told that all I could do was come in with the receipt and they would refund the difference. I told them i was a 100 miles away so she took the receipt number and the amount charge and they would send me a check.
This goes to show you that we all have to check that receipt and amount before you proceeded with the shop.
