$5.39 + 8.25% sales tax for a small Jumbo Jack combo in Texas.
Edit: Also, the JITB survey now says "please order a small combo" specifically, which disallows values fries/free cup of water.

It just blows me away how expensive Jack is these days. It’s $7.99+9.5 tax for basic Jumbo Jack combos here. A Bonus Jack — basically Double Jumbo Jack is 10.29+tax. It’s absolutely insane. Fries are now 3.39/3.69/3.99 — WELL over inflation. The Junbo Jack sat at between .99-1.49 for the better part of 20 years, only really increasing to its current 4.49 over the last 5 years. Based on inflation they should be around 2.50 and fries should be around 1.99-2.50. If it weren’t for these shops I wouldn’t go there in my own dime—back in college my favorite thing to grab was an Ultimate Cheeseburger Combo for about 5.49 — which was one of the most expensive combos. With inflation should be 7.50 or so — but it’s up over 10 bucks plus tax.
The $1.50 is additional to take temps of the fries and burger. I do a lot of these shops. I am in Texas and we have been averaging $12 + the 1.50 for temps. A JJ with cheese meal is under $6. I do a route of 7-10 in 2 hours. I also schedule them on my out of town shops as they help make the worth it factor greater. These shops usually have a better payout too. I also try and go from 9AM-11AM if possible because less traffic. Late night in my area would be a nightmare because they are super busy. I use a mask and gloves to take temps. I go by my husbands job site and the guys are always appreciative or I go by an area that has homeless or people asking for food. One of my regular locations has an actual homeless person who is in the parking lot. I think it is better than throwing it out. My dog is very picky and would just stare at me. If they increase the requirements for food purchases and do not increase the payments I will be out. For these to be profitable I have to keep costs under $6.50
Some of mine here in WA are getting close to $8 and there are 2 locations in a nearby town that are at $9 plus change. I will only do these if they are around $22 - $25 as otherwise they don't provide me enough of a profit to make my time worthwhile.
