Help! Need ideas on why I'm making an appointment to ask about checking accounts!

Hi wonderful shoppers! I signed up for a bank shop and I'm supposed to ask about a checking account, but of course with Covid, the new policy is to make an appointment to speak to a banker, and then not actually open an account. Do you all have any good excuses as to why I needed to make an appointment and visit the bank as opposed to just looking at the website for the information?

1. Learning disability. You can't process the info by just reading it, someone needs to explain it to you.
2. You are old fashioned and just prefer to do business in person.
3. Covid. You just need to get out of the house and interact with someone other than your 4 year old.
4. Financial illiteracy. You just don't understand what all those terms on the web page mean.
You want to get a feel for the culture of the bank and the employees.

I personally prefer dealing with a live person.

I'm old, so I get away with "I don't understand all that computer stuff" -- and, anyway, it's true!
Thank guys! I haven't applied for any because it seemed awkward but with your (collective) suggestions I may give it a try...when the fee goes up.
Are these the $15 dollar shops? They are easy. Now, they are better because you have an appointment and do not need to wait or return after scheduling an appointment during what turned out to be a first visit.

Skip the $15 ones and go straight to the $35-45 one, is my advice.
If the bank branch does not answer the phone, tell the scheduler that you want to make the appointment on line.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
yes these are the $15 (base rate) shops! i would do it again in a heartbeat for the bonused rate! I'm not sure if we can do more than one but I'll check.

luckily, the instructions said to make the appointment online. I called the branch for a separate issue and no one answered the phone, so walesmaven has great advice!
I think that we may be posting about shops from different MSC, but, no worries. Work is good ! lol
