"GPSVerifier" just doesn't work

OK, once again, I freely admit I'm a tech dunce.

In rural areas yesterday, I had 3 shops requiring the new app GPSVerifyer, which replaced the old, reliable, geoverify.

All I got was "Sorry, could not determine your location". So I just figured, OK, I'll check it out at home.

At home, with my wifi, same result!

I checked that "location services" was on, but the thing won't even find me at home!

What to do?

Can you take a screen shot? Can you photograph (old school,with other camera) that page on your phone? Can you print out the weather conditions for those places and times? Sometimes, weather interfered with me and the old Geoverify in the middle of towns with lots of connectivity. Were you out of range, or were clouds interfering with your efforts? If you can determine this, you can explain it and perhaps add to their knowledge base. If so, you might not have to do this again for similar places because they will be aware of these conditions or possibilities. ?

Cease, can you access the EXIF info on pictures from your phone? I had a problem with a shop recently because I'd lost the receipt. Which I didn't realize until I got home. The shop was going to be rejected until I supplied them with the data from my phone showing that I was at the right location at the time I said I was. They accepted it. I had not done a GPS verify since it wasn't asked for (and, of course, at the time I didn't know I'd need verification beyond the receipt.)

Here's what you should be able to pull from a photo once you download it. There may be a way to access this right from your phone, but if there is, I don't know what it is.

P.S. The scheduler herself did not know how to access the information, even though she had the photos. So you may need to 'splain to someone at the MSC or scheduling company how to do it, but supply the information yourself.

What has me thrown for a loop is it cannot locate me in my own home, with WiFi!!! No connectivity issues there.

My digital camera does not have that capability -- but I always have my cell with me, and it does have that data. So I'll just make sure to snap a photo of the location with my cell!

I was using it for shops that did not require it but had it on form as optional. It started putting me over a mile away from my shop location when I was right there at the building. So I stopped using it. Luckily it was optional. And I am in a big city.

Restart your phone. No guarantees, but it works for me when GPSVerifier shows me at some previous location. That's not the problem you're having I know, but worth a shot.

I think you have to turn off the wifi on your phone which isn't accurate for location pinning.
