Mystery shopping in 2020

I haven't done any mystery shopping since Stericycle shut down... I've been busy helping my husband with his e-commerce business.

I am now ready to go back into mystery shopping but I looked at all the big mystery shopping companies and they have 20% of what they used to ..... I know some of this is due to COVID 19 but is the mystery shopping industry fizzing out?

Also, I am looking for some apps I can use to make extra money --- the ones I am using now are Field Agent, Easy Shift, Gig Walk, Observa, Mobee, Instacart, Doordash, Uber, Postmates.... Are there any new ones out there that I'm not thinking about? Thanks for all your help just trying to navigate things to make some part-time extra money.

Presto has an app. Various companies have merchandising gigs. Some of these jobs might meld with other gigs and give you productive days. One company has drug test shops. I have not completed one, but if you really like the bodily -erm- fluid shops, you could look around for these.

There's an app called Surveys On The Go. They pay out every $10.00. In my area, they don't have a tremendous amount, but in the past 18 months, I've cashed out about 4 times. Even if you don't qualify for a survey, they credit you ten cents, and don't make you answer a gazillion questions before you find out you don't qualify. It IS legit. One time, I did a food survey for a week, which paid out $20.00. So maybe give it a look-see, and see what you think!

guys mom thanks for the tip ... I wish there was more mystery shopping in my area but there isn't not sure if it's the pandemic or the mystery shopping business.

A lot of clients have changed MSCs and a lot of jobs disappeared because of the pandemic. I wouldn't say shopping is fizzling out per se, based on my own experience, but it is being negatively impacted impacted by the economic downturn just like other businesses. The risk of catching covid has forced many shoppers to stay home, so shops can still be found if one is willing to take the risk. I started shopping again part-time. I don't like it but I need the income.

I am taking a few jobs that are available. I am not only wearing a mask but, also, surgical grade disposable gloves. (Available on amazon.)
