I got one today too and there's nothing we can do now. Hope for the best. Unfortunately I think some very bad info was accessed. I don't have much to begin with so I am too concerned. You can't take something from nothing. LOL....
I got one too. You can sign up for the free provided credit monitoring and protection. The info is in the letter. Data breaches happen all the time so it is best to be monitoring your credit anyway. There are so many free fico scores you can get and you can get your credit report from each of the 3 credit agencies once per year so do one agencies every 4 months. In this day and it is no longer if your credit will be stolen but when. You can also pay for protection from Lifelock which has teamed up with Norton antivirus if you want the added peace of mind.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Yes, I got the letter as well. Is this referring to the AUDITING side of Stericycle or the MSing side of Stericycle that was the old CoRI and did the gas stations and is now defunct anyhow???? I couldn't find that info. Or is it all one in the same?? I know my login/password for the AUDITING side of Stericycle has always been different than it was for the now-dead MSing side of Stericycle. Just wondering. Anyhow, I'm going to go in and see if I can change my password on the Auditing side of Stericycle.

ETA: Well, I just went in and tried to see if I could change my password, but I couldn't find anywhere to do this. The Profile section didn't have any option. So I've emailed them and will see what they say.

I received a letter as well. This is totally unacceptable. For the life of me, I don't know why there aren't severe federal penalties for this sort of thing. That will be the only thing that incentives businesses to make some serious changes with their IT and employee training. It sounds like this situation resulted from a phishing attempt whereby a Stericycle employee clicked on an email link that should have just been deleted.
Well, they emailed me back with my CURRENT password, as though I had forgotten it...UGH!! So I emailed them right back in REALLY LARGE LETTERS that I don't need my current password, but want to change it due to the data breach. The letters are REALLLLYYYYY big, so if they miss the meaning of that email, I think I'll just have my entire Stericycle account deleted....if I can!!!
I only worked on the mystery shopping side so I am not sure why they would still have my info
