Gas Station Shops with Reveal

Has anyone done the gas station image shops that require you to mystery shop then reveal and leave a copy of the report? I did two of these and will not do any more. Both times the manager wanted to discuss what I reported on. Both shops took me over an hour because of the manager reaction. Now because I have done those two shops, I am not eligible to do the new image customer first shops which have better pay. Anyone know a way around this. I do not know whose idea it was to offer a copy of the report to the client but this was not a cool idea. and sets us up for a disagreement.

Nope, I prefer the new Image version for all the reasons you mentioned!

On the form that I am leaving them it says that they are not supposed to talk to you but talk to their representatives. You're supposed to report and discuss what you have found. I had a crying female owner that tried to get me not to report the splash guard on the nozzle. I did not change anything. This round her shop has come up. I have not taken it or will I. That is one nice thing about a route. Now ask yourself how many compliments do the give you and I on how we conduct ourselves?
What stations are these ? I have never heard of them ????? Doing stations since 2011 !!!

Probably because you've been doing the mystery shop that only requires a reveal if the employee is not in uniform. Up until now those of us that did the mystery were never able to see the audits on the job board.
Bonused here, but *not even close* to what it would take for me to do these. I see tons of these still on the board. Wonder what person thought they could offer that base price and fill them? I'm betting they will either (a) lose money because they'll need to highly bonus every one, or (b) be unable to fulfill the contract.

I did two reveal shops when I first started MS. I despise them. I'm all about the non-revealed, especially when traveling.
I do reveal shops all of the time. I used to have to leave a copy of the report and, at least for me, the trick is to be polite but don't leave room for conversation. I said "this is for you, thanks for your time, have a good rest of your day" and then quickly exit. Whenever I had a station owner try to discuss it I tell them I just submit the information and really don't ever see the final product so I don't know the answer. Occasionally, if it's something simple like what POP is expired, I'll point it out (some brands have little stickers that the owners either don't know to remove particularly if they are new or the owner doesn't realize that the old stuff has to be removed even if they haven't gotten enough in number or type of the proper replacements). Other than that, the faster you move the less chance you'll get questions. I guess I have my stations "trained" by now that I can't answer any questions so they rarely even try. I also have a few stations that are on routes but I have done them often enough that I know when the "chatty" owners are likely to be there so I schedule around that. As with anything, the more you do the easier it becomes to avoid these types of pitfalls hence why I specialize almost completely in revealed gas stations.
