Questionnaires "that time forgot"? (Covid)

Has anyone, while filling out a report, run into questions that clearly predate the pandemic and don't account for how things are different now ... with no flexibility in how to respond?

For example, since Long Island's restaurants re-opened with restrictions a few months ago, I've done one shop for Sinclair's fast-casual Tex-Mex client. The report still demands a photo of the salsa bar at this restaurant.

Except there ain't no salsa bar. Yeah, the structure is still there and ready to be used again when this plague is gone, but it's empty right now due to Covid restrictions, Currently, you get your salsa in little containers on request from staff.

So, knowing the requirement was still in place, I took a photo of the empty salsa bar and uploaded it to the report. Silly ... but the report is the report.

Anyone else have examples of outmoded report requirements that haven't kept up with Covid?

The guidelines for a burger chain have changed to reflect COVID, however, they do not sync with the CPIs unless it is a dine in shop.

I had to cancel several phone shops because the CPI said one thing and the guidelines said something else.

I don't know if this is necessarily a case of "time forgot." Where in the past the client was using this photo to ensure that the salsa bar was clean and well-stocked, now they could be using the photo to ensure that their locations aren't using it. That said, it probably wouldn't hurt if the MSC updated their guidelines for the shop to state that a picture of the salsa bar should be taken even if it's empty.
Credit card or checking account inquires. Bank lobbys are closed except by appointment only in Illinois. Nothing like making an appointment to ask questions if one wants to become memorable.

Yes, good point, I suppose that's possible. My cynical nature suggests to me that they just haven't bothered to update but you may be right.
This is for typical shops, not the specific health/safety visits. I would like a question or three regarding masking. Are all visible employees masked? Just as with Five Guys when they want to know if gloves are changed between certain tasks, I would like to know if masks are touched by hands that should have worn gloves or should have changed gloves between tasks. And did any of those hands then touch my purchase or my receipt?

With the things we all see MSCs do from time to time, it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case.

That reminds me of another one. Shops that asked if the associate smiled at you, or whether the male associate has a mustache? How do I know? He was wearing a mask.
Haha this is a good point! One MSC has already said that if they are wearing a mask, mark them down as smiling.

Just take a picture of the empty salsa bar, or the empty hot dog roller thingy, or the empty case that used to display fresh pastries. Give points for smiling.

Even with a mask on, when a person genuinely smiles, you can oftentimes see it in their eyes...they sparkle.
Questionnaire that grammer forgot: "At what pump number did you fuel at?" Irks me every time.
