Physical Confrontation....What would you do?

I'm with Koko. I don't mind reveal when photos are taken whether or not there are infractions but the, "Book 'em" system feels just wrong in too many ways. Tried it. Don't like it. Won't do it again. What is the client thinking with this stuff? So rude.

I would never ask to take a photo "from neck to waist" because that does sound a little perverted.

Ditto

OP who told you to use that phrase?

I always say, “ I need to take a photo of your uniform because you’re not wearing a name tag today.”

Generally the only people that balk are 20-year-old males with low IQs.
Twice, I have taken photos of them from the neck down, and then I show them the photo on my phone before I turn to leave. Weird and ignorant. I’m not sure why they think they’re all that and a bag of chips that I would want their photo personally?
I say torso or uniform. I do not tell them because they are not wearing their name tag. We are not supposed to say stuff like that.

And some people just don't want their photo taken like myself. And some employees have a record or a jaded past and they do not want to have their photo taken.

LOAs are a joke. Anyone can make their own photocopies.

Wow!

Personally, I take pictures of the cashier discretely and from a distance.

You carry a weapon in your car?
Several clients require to ask the employee for permission and you have to get the LOA in the foreground of the photo. You can not do it discreetly.

Several times after the reveal, I've overheard customers ask a clerk why they let a cop take photos of everything. I look like a nonthreatening granny! At least the "entrepreneurs" usually leave the convenience store and parking lot until I leave.
I love the fact that they think I am a cop or someone official. It is fun to watch the drug dealers scatter like roaches. It makes it easier to take photos of the property.
