Yes, perfectly normal. The longer the report, the more chances for typos, misspellings, style differences etc. But 8s and 9s are great scores, and are unlikely to keep you from getting future shops.
I do not receive grades on most of my shops. I like it better without grades. I would rather the editor tell me what is wrong with my narratives than give me a grade.
