Has anyone ever asked for a post-shop bonus?

I will credit Strategic Reflections and SeeLevel -- over the years both had client cancelled shops but agreed to pay me the full amount if I had completed the shop. (I had not in the case of SR, but had with SeeLevel.)

Yes, I've had shops cancelled without any notice -- one in particular that chaps my you-know-what, I had driven 100 miles and completed the shop before it was cancelled.
And you should have been paid for that shop. If you did not actually submit a report and.or photos then maybe a reduced fee. You should have received some sort of monetary compensation.

Could not submit the report because it was off my shop log as soon as the scheduler cancelled it.
I have asked for extra $ to cover a substantial toll that I was unaware of. It was a BFE shop that I took as a favor to a favorite scheduler. She was happy to cover it, and said that she would note the toll for the next shopper.

I have done this also. Tolls and parking expenses that were not mentioned in the contract. I always address the matter and I have always been compensated.
