Why, oh why, can't I make apps work?

Since this industry is embracing tech, I find my inability to use apps to be limiting my income -- severely, sometimes!

I work in a rural area, without "cellular data network" availability.

Is that the problem? Or is it, as I suspect, actually "operator incompetence"?

The app can not work without data or wifi. If I don't have service, I can't use an app.

Oh, thanks. You just made me feel so much better! Feeling incompetent really bothers me.

I just had a Gulf station bonused $50 I had to cancel after accepting it because I could not make the app accept my Visa card. And I was at home, using my home wifi, and could not make it work. The shopper is required to use the Gulf Pay app. Then another shopper came on here, and said they had to cancel for the very same reason, which just made me feel so much better!
It is my experience that smartphone apps, in general, do not work as well as computer applications. There seem to be many more bad phone apps than good ones that work smoothly and correctly. Smartphone is often convenient on the road, but it is not an identical replacement for a computer.
If it's the Ipsos one, it's not just you. I can almost never get it to work and end up doing most of the reporting from home.

Unless I'm in an area with poor WiFi, the only app that never works is legacy Maritz. Keep practicing when you know the WiFi is good.
The Legacy Maritz app was deactivated with the merger. It worked perfectly for me, no matter how remote the area, when it was active.
