Boar's Head

Has anyone done a Boar's Head shop? If so, what was it like? I can't access the guidelines until after I accept a shop. I like to know what I'm getting into ahead of time! Thx

IIRC, I had to "shop" about 3 different departments, get names/descriptions of each team member I interacted with, and ask an incredibly stupid question in each department (Is this the hottest pepper you carry? What's the best way to cook a steak? How is grass fed beef different from regular beef?) The reports I found painful, and although I did many of these shops over an 8 month period, I never got much better at the reports. On the upside, doing 5 of them every week meant I spent nothing on groceries, and ate very well!!!!!

I usually ended up spending 45 minutes to an hour in the store, and another hour on the report.

But I'm old and VERY slow. And I normally spend 45 minutes in the store when I go grocery shopping, anyway!

Gladys, did you ever get any feedback or complete one of these shops? I see one showed up again in my area and the fee seems too good to be true.

No, I never completed a shop, although they showed up on the board again today. They seemed to disappear for a week or so, and then came back.

I'm a little concerned because it's supposed to be an undercover audit, yet the shopper is supposed to take quite a few photos.

If I do a shop, I'll let you know how it goes.

I do not recall any photo requirements. The Boar's Head shops I completed were a straight grocery store mystery shop through The Source..

The ones I did were a regular grocery store shop for The Source. No photos (except for the receipt).

Lately, the biggest time factor is related to covid. In some stores, you must follow a pattern of one-way aisles and observe six feet of distance between people throughout the stores. You can't just zip through a store with eyes darting and brain cells tabulating at warp speed unless there are only a few customers there and no workers are stocking or cleaning.

I see that Boar's Head assignments are on the board again - and it's not the Source. Has anyone done one yet? I'm still a little hesitant.

I did one. It's a lot of pictures, especially of the deli area. If it's a busy store it's not difficult, but you have to use gospotcheck. Gospotcheck doesn't let you upload your own camera pictures, so you waste time scrolling through the questions to take the picture for that question. If it's a slow day, the employees are there staring at you like; ಠ_ಠ

I’ve done a couple and I agree with 007; it’s better if it’s busy!

I did this when it first came out and it was alot of questions and pictures and i wouldn't do another one, even with the rate going up the work is not worth it unless you are good at taking pictures because the app really makes it hard to be discreet. 2/10

Well, I'm finally taking the plunge. One shop appeared within three miles of me, and it's heavily bonused. I applied, but not sure I'll be assigned it.
