How many companies are you signed up for?

I have done mystery shopping on and off for the past 10 years. I'm signed up with maybe like 30 of them. How many do you all have?

In order to stay reasonably busy, many shoppers here are signed up with 75-150 MSCs. Clients change MSCs regularly, so just because an MSC has nothing of interest to you now, it may well have something for you in the future.

This is especially true now, when many clients have suspended their MS programs temporarily.

Rule if thumb: any day that you wish you had a shop but do not, invest in your MS business by taking the time to sign up with at least 5 more MSCs.

I went through the list here and signed up with every one. I have lost track of a lot of them. It is the way to find what is available around here.
willarosen,
That is not unusual, but for most busy shoppers, the tonal number of MSCs shopped for over a 12-18 month period is much higher than 10.

I'm signed up with around 125 MSCs, and over the course of a year, I may do shops for about 20-25 of them. You really never know what may show up with a company that you usually never do anything for. That happened to me with White Clay. I haven't done a shop for them since they were Marketing Endeavors, which was a LONNNGGGG time ago. Well, this summer, I got a $40 bonused shop with them and was paid within 2 weeks! So you just never know.
I'm signed up with 200, including the gig ones. I'm active with about 50. Currently, I do work for 6.

I need to check. There was a time I was signed up with about 75 but I've lost track how many of them have gone out of business, merged with another, have a new name, etc. I used to get more tired checking them all than doing the actual shops so I'm glad now that the three I work for the most are keeping me as busy as I want to be.
I'm so glad I work mostly in NV where the number of companies I am signed up for is four and irrelevant.
probably close to 300. My main work comes from maybe 10 and in a typical year may actual do shops with 30 to 50. Walesmaven gave the best advice in signing up with 5 everyday you don't have work and want it.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Shopping is a supplement to my full time job. I'm signed up with about 60. I regularly do work for about 5 or 6. Occasional work for maybe 6 more. Hardly ever or never for the rest.
Does any happen to have a comprehensive url links for all the companies someone posted in here? I searched but it didn't bring up anything close to that post. It was an old post as well. The search only turned up something recent. I need to sign up some more.

24. There are 8 on that list that I will probably never work with again. I am basically active with about 6. I have found that I am as busy as I want to be with just those 6. I know a lot of people are signed up with 100 or more, but I never found the need to sign up for more than 24. The 24 provided more work than I could do, or wanted. This Covid year, I did nothing from the middle of April through the first week of August. I discovered I like that. I'm back mystery shopping now, but I've changed. I am not doing any more shops that require narratives. I'm never going to visit another apartment complex, negotiate the price of a car, listen to some investment options, or have long days or weeks of shopping. So, the 24 companies were more than enough for me when I use to shop often, have some long days and some long weeks, and they're even less needed or wanted now that I have adjusted.
