What happens if a MSC does not get a shop done in that quarter?

Dumb question time.
What happens to a MSC that does not get a shop done in the quarter or time frame the customer has give them.

I guess I have not stated right. Do they lose the contract for not having them done on time, fined or what?

It depends on how the contract between the MSP and the client was drawn up. Some have a grace period, others do not. Each contract is unique and individual to each program. Some MSPs are sharper and smarter than others, and have contingency clauses - others do not.

It all depends on how their contract with the client is structured. I believe there are some contracts that have bonus tiers built-in if a certain percentage of shops are completed within a given timeframe. Perhaps there are bonuses for completing all assignments as well.

Technically, a client could claim breach of contract for any misses by the MSC, but, baring any extraneous circumstances, I doubt legal action would be pursued.

Missing too many contractual requirements, over time, could certainly lead to the client looking elsewhere for their MSC partner options...

Is another reason an shop does not get shopped/picked up is because of the shopper fee or the requirements of the shop?

I would like to do a delivery shop. However, the delivery service that I have to use, I have had heard bad stories about them and they won't let me use a delivery service that I am used to, As of this post it is still on the job board..
@bmttinman, this is a great question. I have wondered about it and I'm sure many other shoppers have as well.

@Isaiah4031a, absolutely, and MSCs should know better.
I think they have to tell the client, that they just can't get any shoppers to do the shop, for the ridiculously low fee, with these bizzare guidelines and requirements. winking smiley
grinning smiley Or, they throw us under the bus with something like... oh, those inept little creeps. They call themselves shoppers, but they are imbeciles! Imbeciles! They are unable to read minds, between lines, and editorial whims and brain farts. We apologize profusely and promise that we are always on the lookout for other, rare souls who can fulfill your requirements...
