When Schedulers Leave MSCs

Sometimes it's good news, and sometimes it's not.

I was very happy when I read a mass email today from a scheduler announcing 1/31/21 would be her last day at an MSC. Her departure probably means I will apply for more shops at that MSC. I just hope she does not end up scheduling at one of my favorite MSCs.

OTOH, there have been times when I was sad when favorite schedulers leave. It's even worse when they didn't say goodbye.

There are some schedulers I also miss..

All the schedulers that I have worked with in the past. None of them have sent out saying if they are moving or if today is their last day.

However, an few years ago I received a hand written letter from a scheduler thanking me for doing Shop A and Shop B for the company many times. Sadly she is no longer working for the company. I hope she is doing well.

The two shops that I did for the company, they are no longer shopped..

There was another scheduler who I have also worked with in the past and she moved companies. When I received a mass email about an shop several months later I asked her are you XXX that used to work for XX and they would usually say YES.

Very few schedulers are professional enough to send a farewell message. I have only received three such messages, one of which was plagued with typos. Only one scheduler included in the farewell message a thank you for past work that I had done and an introduction to the new scheduler. The other was without typos but also without substance.
Amy S. from IPSOS was my favorite scheduler. She knew what she was doing! Now, IPSOS seems to be "off" a little. Jobs don't get scheduled in a timely manner, it is difficult to schedule "mini routes", and it seems there is only one auditor...because it takes FOREVER to get some jobs reviewed.
I was recently saddened to find out a scheduler left that I had gotten to know. Maybe some companies instruct them to not say goodbye? The one leaving this month I will also miss. She has been good to me.

Why does anyone leave their job? The reasons are myriad.

I know. But if I knew they would leaving, I would like to send them an email wising them luck in the future.
Scheduling is a job I would not want to have. I did editing for about a year. There was one scheduler I loved at a mystery shopping company years ago. He was always on his game and answered my questions. He would pick up the phone during his office hours (and he had a sultry voice, IMO) hmmm...
