Question about nursing homes/assisted living facilities

Before the pandemic, I shopped nursing homes and assisted living facilities for the elderly. Now during the pandemic, my mother has had to be moved into one of these facilities. I am not allowed to go there to visit her, no one is - because of the virus.
And yet, I keep getting emails from MSCs asking me to shop such places....in person.
So what gives here? family members not allowed, but shoppers??

Lots of places are still accepting move ins and new residents ironically enough. Depends on state and local health regulations, but looks like many places are allowing tours.
I can see new residents - but shoppers? family members not allowed, but shoppers are? I can't say what I think about that because it would get me kicked out permanently lol.
It's beyond ridiculous isn't it? I don't know how to link a thread but I started a similar thread about this subject on 1/23, and we are not alone. FYIsmiling smiley
Family memebrs will be in close contact with residents. Secret shoppers are walking the hallways and sitting in offices away from residents.
