Why does this major drive in chain not allow purchases of Chicken items?

Not sure if I am allowed to say the name, but playing it safe. Major drive in chain known for milkshakes. I have done so many of them. I like doing them but so tired of being only allowed to get beef items. I like chicken more and not sure why the company is restricting this.

Wondering myself. At another recently shopped fast food chain, different from the one I think you're referencing, I evaluated the "Mother Cruncher" chicken sandwich and it was up and ready as quickly as any burger or dog. I always figured they keep those things under heat lamps.

I think I remember it being stated somewhere in the drive-in instructions that chicken items have a longer prep time. Something like that. Could be wrong.

I'm not sure about this restaurant, but from my time at Burger King, the sandwich that takes the longest to prepare there is their Tendercrisp chicken sandwich (if they have to fry it fresh). It's about 7 minutes in the fryer.

So... umm... do they/should they have a separate chicken sandwich program that compares chicken across locations?

I agree. I’d like to try the LTOs sometimes. I was so burned out on them recently and not thinking and chose the peppers as my side item. Seems as if it would take just as long as other sides but it wasn’t allowed.
