$2k to sleep for research

This sounds like a perfect opportunity for someone.

This could literally be a dream job -- making money by sleeping, including a night in a five-star resort.

Sleepstandards.com, a website that provides information on sleep quality products and research, is looking for someone willing to make $2,000 to help it study the influence of environmental factors on the quality of sleep.
"The chosen candidate will spend five nights sleeping in different environments set up by our team including one night in a luxury 5-star resort," the posting says.
The candidate will be required to write a report about their sleep experience each night, and about how each of the specific sleep environments affected their sleep quality.
The person must then rate the environment 1 to 10 to tell researchers the difference in sleep preference.
The reward is a $2,000 payday with all expenses paid.
Interested candidates need to submit a headshot and a 60-second introduction video explaining why they want the position. Applicants must also share links to all of their social media pages.

The requirement to share links to all social media pages would be something that would make me say, nope, sorry.
i just saw an article in "Men's Health" about this "company." In November, they were offering $3000 to test five mattresses and rate them on the best for sex..... As a bonus, you got to keep your favorite mattress......

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
Ugh, did they provide the sex partner or could you bring your own?
I almost got a job from a company like this but I guess in the end they did not approve my video so I have no feedback. Mine was for an expensive kitchen product.

Fortunately (Unfortunately?), folks provided their own sex partners.

Hard work builds character and homework is good for your soul.
You should have left it as this!

I have been longing for a sleep shop. I want to be paid for useful long and short naps. But I do not do social media. Oh, well.

Yeah, except that if it's the same type of shop as MFJ talked about above, you might not be getting too much sleep!
I don't do that and tell, either...

There is only one person to be selected, so based just on that I know it won't be a scientific study. (No age-matched controls, no mention of institutional review board vetting of research on human subjects, no safety protocols, no disclosures of conflicts, no disclosures of why social media links are needed and what happens to the person's data when the research is complete, etc. etc. etc.) So it must be intended for marketing--or some other reason.
