Are Krispy Kreme donuts shopped?
Not seeing them with the usual MSC. Maybe they are still shopped there, but someone has taken them already.

I do see Krispy Kreme listed as a client on the MSC's webpage under the restaurants section. Of course, that could be out-of-date and maybe they've moved to a new MSC or have stopped the program.

Getting back to topic, I haven't seen Smashburger shopped in a while.
Me either. Their black bean burger was pretty lousy.
Hmmm, glad I never tried it. I only got the beef burgers which were darn good. Of course I only shopped them twice because they were usually reimbursement-only, and I'd pass them up unless and until they grudgingly put in a $5 fee. It's the principle. smiling smiley

Forgot to mention Panera Bread but they stoped being shopped before Covid, I believe.

They were for different mscs for different things!
So a better way to lay out this topic is to discuss which MSC's went out of business, because I know we lost a few along the way.
Probably bittersweet:

But restaurants got the biggest share of direct help: $28.6 billion in grants for restaurants whose revenue fell in 2020 as a result of the pandemic.

The bill calls for grants equal to the amount of restaurants’ revenue losses, up to a maximum of $10 million per company and $5 million per location. Eligible companies cannot own more than 20 locations, and they can’t be publicly traded. The bill sets aside $5 billion for the smallest restaurants, those whose annual revenue is $500,000 or less.

. . .While the $28.6 billion in the bill was only about a tenth of the amount of money the industry has lost during the pandemic, the restaurant group sees it as a win.
I've pointed out in the stimulus thread that timing is crucial for small biz to survive. Only about ~5-6% of PPP applicants got aid with lots of favoritism shown to connected/wealthier/larger clients in the processing. Much like 2008-9, bank lending standards also tightened into the recession, so mom and pop and mid-sized restaurants w/o deep financing may have gone under already.

Better late than never. This latest from the American Rescue Plan could greatly strengthen a lot of the weakened smaller survivor restaurants.
Shake Shack is, to my knowledge, no longer shopped. The company that was shopping them went out of business- I think Shake Shack was their only client left anyway so if they pulled the program they had nothing left.
I haven't seen Mod Pizza shops at all, even since dining in opened here, at least through the company that used to have them. And just when one opened near me! I did one there, and then the poop hit the fat.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.

Yes. I just did one yesterday. Unfortunately, it's not for a dozen but for 1 doughnut and drink.

Are they still with the MSC that has the lab shops?

I don't know about lab shops but they are with the MSC they have been with for quite a while.

Not the one that I saw the other day. I know which MSC has lab shops. They also did them in the past. This is a prophet company.

The shops I see in my area of Southern California are with a Prophet company

Do they do the sizing audit shops? Because I get calls from that company all the time.... If not then oh well. They just opened a KK near me so I'm not sure if it is even shopped since the location is so new.
KK was not Prophet Systems in my state. I don't know the name of the platform, as I think it's unique.

Because they are a supplier of donuts for gas stations and grocery stores (on top of their stand-alone units), they were in a more stable position during the pandemic. They'll bounce back and perhaps you'll see shops again everywhere.

I've had so much sugar (candy and soda) the past three months, I don't crave them.

I think that you are right. Blame it on exhaustion. Sorry. I'll edit.

I actually miss Blaze Pizza, which stopped being shopped quite a while before the pandemic. One of the shop requirements was to take a picture of the bottom of the pizza crust. Some shoppers went to hilarious extremes attempting to do this.

Lol. Editing those were hilarious!!

Just occurred to me that Haagen-Dazs shops are no more, at least not with pre-Covid MSC. sad smiley
