Shell shops

Uhhhh I’m confused. It’s a 4 hour drive just between Greely and Casper... I didn’t pay attention to where the other two in WY were so they could’ve been close by, but you still have to get back from Casper....to NoCo is 3 hours....

You "didn't pay attention," yet you had zero problem asserting that there was "no way to route these" and that "ColoKate needs to put it in perspective."
Good heavens.
This is a prime example of why this forum is so irritating and unhelpful 90% of the time; people spouting off like Instant Experts about stuff they haven't the first clue about.
Urggggh. OK, back to work. This is annoying me, and it's EOQ, pandemic time baby, money to be made, and I'm already needled that I missed out on a $1000+ day yesterday by checking my email 60 minutes too late.

That's Karma biting you right in the ass, Kern! Treat people like goats and sooner or later, you get to be smelling like one!
If you attempted the same trip today, you would be driving slowly due to snow. How much longer would this trip be today than it would have been during yesterday's fine weather?

You did not state where all the locations were situated. Generally, driving from Greeley, Colorado to Casper involves traveling northwest into Wyoming. It includes miles and miles in Wyoming. Depending upon where each location was, you might have have traveled a distance across the state on I-80 or on other roads.

So laugh at this Wyomingite if you wish. I learned my lesson about crazy MS road trips. I no longer attempt these trips because I work at other jobs and never have enough time for contingencies and sleep. Contingencies and lack of sleep have made some work days so long they were like weeks! For now, I am catching up from years of road trip contingencies and lack of sleep.

You go get that MS money! I am going to take a nap now because my early work lasted from ~ 3 AM until ~ 9 AM. If there is extra work tomorrow morning , that will be my day all over again... and I will (might?) find time to do a little bit of neglected work at home....

It's incredible to me how obtuse certain people have been to the fact that there's a 100-year pandemic out there, and that many people simply aren't willing to risk their health for $12.50 plus $6 reimbursement. I've been keeping a tally in my area of the Shell shops (oh, and ExxonMobil is next up) - they aren't moving.

Go for it.

I feel the same way. Yes it's incredible how many will risk their (and others') lives or health for such a small pay.

I think who ever took them was the same who took the Jiffy Lube audits. There were 5 in CO in the morning and then disappeared by 6 PM.
For me it is about the risk. I take risk every day in just normal life. I drive my car almost every day. Odds of me being in a traffic accident are greater than me dying from COIVD. Odds of me dying by an act of violence are higher than me dying of COVID. I am thankful I live in Texas. I am not putting my life on hold or jeopardizing my future for a virus that has above a 95% recovery rate. If I do that I might as well never go out of my home. It is a dangerous world out there.

However, if you are sick, have special health problems, I think you should wear a mask and stay at home. For some people, odds might be higher.

It has been said many way but I believe there’s nothing that protects a man from death, than purpose. A man of purpose does not die anyhow. He dies AFTER he is done. Purpose will not allow you to die until you have fulfilled it. Andy Andrews an American Author talks about this in several of his books, but I love the way it is expressed in The Noticer. I love his stories.

Near me, but not in my town, Shell has been re-branded. Where are the remaining Shell locations? tia.

Most Shell's are franchises. That means that the owner of the station can change brand as he wishes and according to any agreement he has signed.
Thank you. After my earlier post, I learned that eighteen Schrader locations in Colorado had been sold to EG (Loaf 'n' Jug).
