Kroger Shops

Pretty sure I just did my very last Kroger shop. I received a message that morning that my report was rejected because it wasn’t input in 2 hours. It was less than 3 hours, and this isn’t something I’m willing to quibble about. I’m sure someone will take them and do the report in the parking lot.

They are now requiring onsite input and at most 2 hours. I am one of those people who do it onsite.

I had several shops canceled by them this week. The message stated that they were pausing all shops in my area due to recent events (I live in the Boulder area).

They are wanting them 100% on the app now. I check in from the parking lot, do the outside observations, finish everything else from the entire report except the front end and receipt before I get to the checkout lane. I do the last two sections, including taking the photograph of the receipt in the car, which takes just a couple of minutes and then I’m done.

The weirdest part about it is getting home and having no reports to do. Now that I’m used to the app, I realize that I should’ve been using it the entire time.
I love using the app. It is very easy. I have been using it for a long time.

Now I love it. I was not using it because I hit the road at 6 AM and work until 4:30 PM. I will do three grocery stores and be finished with those by 6:30 PM without doing a report. I’m not home until 7 PM. Basically I do them now all on my app, and I’m home by 7:15 PM.

After working that many hours I just like to get home as soon as I can, but it’s better now because once I’m home I’m done.
Do they do Food 4 Less?
If so, in southern CA?
If so, any legal hint as to the MSC?

Haven’t seen Food For Les# for a while but they used to shop them before Covid. If click on the Official list of MSC’s at the bottom of this page, the company is listed as one of the top 15 discussed.

I am in Southern CA and haven't seen Food 4 Less being shopped since Covid started.
Thanks, good to know!

Here are some comments from supposedly Kroger employees and what they think of us (sorry about the language):

I noticed that when Covid started I had to repeatedly report employees for not wearing a mask properly. In the past few months, not so much. I like to think that I had something to do with that.
Well, that was fun to read. I really expect nothing less from store employees. Not surprised in the least if they don't like us or that they think what we are doing is bs. I personally feel that customer service has taken a nose dive in the past few years. I like to believe that what we do does encourage many employees to try and be friendly, even when they do not feel like it.
100% don't care. I asked the produce guy "What vegetables are good for grilling?" He told me, "Lettuce." So, that was actually fun to write up.
I was doing my Ralph’s (Kroger) shop today when they made an announcement over the PA about the Boulder shooting followed by a moment of silence. Everyone stopped what they were doing in respect. Well done Kroger.
I could not sleep, so I followed up on a forum thing. I laughed out loud about the grilled lettuce. Then, I looked around online for information about grilled lettuce. Apparently, you can grill lettuce. Some sites suggest certain types of lettuce will hold up better and that grilled lettuce should not sit too long before being eaten. I dunno about any of that.. I like wilted lettuce salads, but I never made them via the grilling method. Perhaps I should pick up a shop and some lettuce and give it a try!

I haven't done a Kroger for a couple of weeks now. The the "dumb questions" get added back into the shop?

Still no dumb questions.
A bunch of shops posted this morning but all with a due date of today. Usually they have a range of dates and are for sometime in the future. Strange.
I shopped a small town Krogers yesterday and the produce person restocked the strawberries with six packages while I was in that area. That's all the shelf room they allot for them, so I marked them as full. Most stores right now are totally out of them. A few minutes later I noticed a lady passing by with her cart with all six packages!
The new hoarder item???

I had thst also. I had a slow day so took 3 of them.
The ms company has sent me three emails this week, each time rescheduling my Kroger’s shop. First it was rescheduled for May 1st, then the 2nd and now May 3rd. I then responded and told them to remove me from this assignment. WTF is up? Very frustrating to have it rescheduled not once but three times in less than a week.

It's because the shopper doing the shop ahead of you had to keep rescheduling it. There needs to be a number of days between shops, so blame it on the other shopper doing that store.
The other shopper should not have been allowed to schedule that close to the May 1 shopper. Poor scheduling.
Oh. Flashback to wage work with pre-set schedule..... Me: So, um, you changed my schedule without notice because someone got a hotel shop? Them: Yes. [Me: Umm?????]

Completed one yesterday (Ralph’s). Surprised that many employees were not wearing masks even tho CDC guidance has changed and California went along on June 15th. I can understand customers but not employees, particularly in food prep area of the sushi and deli. Report still asking if employees were wearing masks properly or at all. I guess the guidelines may change soon. (Not looking to start a discussion of benefits of mask wearing).

I did one yesterday (So California) and one of the butchers did not have on a mask and the other butcher had his mouth only covered. I put it in the report.
