Android Apps Crashing

[m-businesstoday-in.cdn.ampproject.org]

I opened an app on my Android yesterday to perform a shop. It crashed. I opened another app for my rewards and that crashed. I continued with my shop and did the report on my laptop.

The above article and the fix were in my newsfeed this morning. I uninstalled the required update (Android WebView) and I am no longer crashing.

Thanks. I will try it. I haven't heard a thing about this in the news. My phone was limited to almost only phone calls. I could not text, or use most of the apps on the phone including gmail (and anything related to google), aol, and voice recorder. I could not make notes of shops, or transfer any photos. I checked this forum, and until now no one else had mentioned any problems.
My Android phone disconnected from the household network and will not sign back in. Hence, no AoL email on the phone. Once I have dealt with today's more urgent household crises, I will try that app.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Thanks, Honny, helpful info. On my phone, that app was already disabled, so not a problem for me. I don't auto update any of my apps anyhow. But I passed the info along to my son, who may find it useful. Thanks again!
There was nothing in the global news about it. I happened to look at my news feeds and there was one article.

We shoppers rely on our phones a lot: constantly checking emails, shopping apps, timing apps, notes, etc. For something like this to happen globally with no communication to users is beyond crazy.

Unfortunately, that did not work for me. I did not have the option to uninstall. Also, it shows that my Android System Webview is disabled. I was going to "enable" it, but that option was grayed. So.... um... I dunno...
Fixed! I found something that worked for me.

I'm glad you found a fix. It would be a shame to be reduced to using your cell phone as a phone!
