Your ASSIGNED SCENARIO is ELECTRIC LAWN MOWER (EGO) and PAINT (INTERIOR-VALSPAR RESERVE)

Does anyone have any information on what this shop entails? This is the MSC has in the shop comments for a $18 shop a big box home improvement store.

The last time I did a big box home improvement shop, I was assigned to one or two departments.
This was not the assignment that involved filling a shopping cart in a specific way!

If it is similar to my most recent gig, this was easy to accomplish. Visit assigned departments, wait for or ring for associate, provide the scenario spiel, make designated observaitons, and leave. There was an inexpensive purchase of my choice and no return for the purchase.

For this one, I would ask a scheduler for additional information. Specific brand names were mentioned. Are they send you out to look for marketing materials? To check knowledge of those two brands? ?

I received a email and I have to visit two departments make an purchase and then return it
And before that, they were $20 plus up to $5 for reimbursement. There was no return required. So no need to wait the required 20 minutes before making the return. Pay has been decreasing while amount of time spent doing the shop has increased. How low can they go? Unfortunately people keep snapping up these shops.

This was one of my first shops years ago. Then I realized that the pay was not worth the aggravation so I have not done those in years.
Just got an e-mail that they added a $7 bonus to the shops that remain for this project.
I did these shops before the pandemic hit. The stores I shopped never had anyone in the departments, which meant that I had to wait for someone to show up, then call for assistance when they did not, then wait for no one to respond to the request for assistance. Took forever to complete. The shop is great if your store is well-run and employees are there or come over immediately. Not good if they are understaffed.

I'm disappointed that they apparently aren't doing their order online, curbside pickup shops anymore. Those were great, $12 pay, $5 reimbursement. Never understood people who took the in-store pickup and return version of that shop which paid the same $12, no reimbursement, and you had to kill time between pickup and return.

I had no problem doing the purchase return shops as I didn't always need something from there and I could get the first half of the report written up in the car while I waited the 10 or so minutes to return. I also had a couple locations who refused the return so I got to keep the item.

But my point was that the curbside pickup shops paid the same $12 and gave you $5 reimbursement. I bought filters for my HVAC system on the shop, priced around $5.25 with tax.
I used to do both the online order and curbside pickup and the purchase and return.

I would do the purchase and wait in the car for my curbside delivery. By that time it was time to return the first item. One trip to the store, two shop fees and reimbursement for some items I wanted, tape, glue, batteries, etc.

Weren't you concerned that someone would notice that you'd done both an in-store pickup and curbside pickup at the same time and think that it was suspicious? Especially since you have to give your name for both?
I never had to give my name for the store purchase and return.

It never crossed my mind that I would be noticed since I am dealing with different people, The cashier at the return desk is not who brings the order out to you.

Maybe you had different shops than me. When they were doing the curbside shops, the second shop was order online, pickup, return. In that case, the pickup desk would have had your name for that and the curbside pickup.
I had to order online, curbside pickup, keep the merchandise.

In store purchase, wait 10 minutes and return the item.
