I thought about doing it. A location is walking distance from my house and their beer selection is way in the back of the store, They do, however, have aisles and aisles of beer as it is a huge beer and wine warehouse so I am waiting to see what responses others have. Thanks for posting.
I saw those, but passed on them for such the low fee they were offering ($10 I think). For the amount of photos required, it seemed like too much work for little pay. I like how they wanted you to be discrete about taking the photos too. It's almost impossible for the amount of photos they wanted.
I did one today that was heavily bonus and it took me all of 10 minutes.
I did one over the weekend at my local walmart. Walmart had doubled the size of the openair cooler and installed cameras/monitors. I couldn't get enough pictures to attach to the report but i will contact the scheduler this morning. Its the same way you would photograph any other aisle, four foot sections and overlap pictures to capture all the items.
The only good thing I can see (feel?) about this job is opening the coolers, letting out the cold air, standing in the cool blast on a hot day, and... oh, wait. This is not about us.
Some time ago, I completed a few gigs involving specific product types and images of things in aisles. No items were in coolers. I seem to have completed the work, but it always felt odd and I always felt rushed. I do not video shop but would consider using stills or screen shots from video footage in lieu of camera images. *note to self: would this be a good way to be a video shopper?*

I completed 4 of these beer photo assignments. The beer company is trying to develop photo technology making it easier for the stores to order and maintain inventory. The technology is already out there. I use it mostly with Merchandiser.
They must be photos. They must be taken in a specific order. Coolers with doors are not part of the assignment. My pay was $15, and each store did take all of ten minutes. However, I live in a small town. The liquor stores are small. They do not have open coolers. Only one had an actual beer cave.
The assignment says it is not necessary to check in, but to record any employee interaction if approached by an employee. The MSC provides an LOA. For me, because the stores are small, I did talk to the employee first. In every case they were pleased and extremely helpful in helping me find what I needed.

Well, now I see some of these are in regular stores I am definitely not about to take the one near to my house. Aisles are long and the shelving is about 7 feet tall. The entire beer dept is larger than a typical 7/11 type store.
I did some and it was a pain trying to get the photos in beer coolers that was crammed with products, empty boxes, etc..
I did one at a grocery store and one in a gas station/convenience store with a beer cave. BRRR! It was hard to take pics in the beer cave because of the closeness of the shelves and all the corners and angles. The grocery store had very long open aisles and it was much easier.
This might have to go on my fitness plan as I usually had to squat a bit to get the bottom shelf. :-)
They are fairly easy. The retakes I had to do in the beer cave was balances with the nice cold air on a very hot day!

There are not many clients I would shop for $10.
This is very helpful, and I have a question: I'm doing an open-shelf one today or tomorrow, but I can't figure out how to "practice" the photo-stitching applications; I think I read something that encourages you to practice. I've never used the go-spot app before, but when I was doing the "practice shop," I had to take a photo--but it was just a regular still, not the type of overlapping shot they want. Does this option appear when you log in and access the "place"? I understand what to do once I start taking the photos, but I'm not sure how you get to the specific photo function.

Go Spot Check is quite intuitive. I have never seen any "practice" photo options, but that doesn't mean they don't exist, I just haven't seen the option.
Once you start the mission, the app asks if you are doing open air cooler, cave, or shelf. Make your choice, then the app provides a link for the first photo. After you take the first photo (top), another link under the photo is for the middle section. Take that photo, then you get a link for the bottom photo. Submit after you have taken all three photos (top, middle, bottom).

Well, that ended up being a total fail. I couldn't get the app to work right. It might have been a problem with my phone, although I have the newest Android OS upgrade. The store was so packed that I couldn't stand back enough get a full shot of a single cooler shelf top to bottom, so had to use the "stitch" option, which stopped stitching after two shots, when I needed three to complete the shelf. At least I got a half-case of beer out of the trip, and the scheduler was very nice about my failure to complete.

I tried and failed too. I could not figure it out. Had to quit after my phone battery drained.
I also failed The photo frame lines that are supposed to help were the problem. I couldn't get the picture to take because it didn't fit within the frame. I emailed the GoSpotCheck crew before with questions and they said it is an easy app. Ha! I then had correspondence with them after I was unable to complete the task and although sympathetic, they didn't offer any other help or descriptions, instead encouraging me to take it up with the MSC. 
I hope they'll use this feedback to improve the app. But if their purpose was to test the app and not shop the store, maybe shoppers who try and fail should get partial payment, since it appears that the app needs perfecting!
