Why so many "thread closed" posts?

I posted on a couple of them so I remember the OP question. But suddenly a bunch od them are marked as closed, no one can post again, with no explanation.

What happened? Who closed them? And if a thread is closed, is it ever removed?

I just looked to see all the closed threads. They were all started by the same poster who happens to have the same initials as I do but it is someone else! I assume that poster/member has been banned for some infraction.
I was thinking that the poster got their feelings hurt somehow because they removed all of their posts, not only under the ID sandyf referred to, but also the ID they used before that one. The mods probably closed the threads because the original posts were removed and they didn't want the threads turning negative. We've had posters get offended and then unleash a torrent of rage.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. I really wasn't following the threads so I don't really know what happened. Just guessing because of the deleted posts.

That's just it, Kim, I did not observe anything "bad" happening on the threads, but I might have missed it.
IMO, nothing "bad" happened on the threads before the OP threw a hissy fit and deleted all their posts. The OP definitely got offended and created a thread that complained about other posters being mean to the OP. That was, IMO, without merit.

I did not bother to respond to any of the OP's previous posts (at least under their latest username) because it was obvious something was wrong and it was not going to end well.
