Ruth's Chris has a new MSC

The new MSC has no fee (which is typical for this MSC) but has upped the reimbursement from $170 to $200. They were snapped up within hours in my area.

It's good Ruth Chris is still doing mystery shops; I heard they filed for bankruptcy.

A couple of their franchises have. The corporation did not.
I tried doing "menu math" and $200 does not come close to covering the reimbursement for the required items in a large metro-area. I do recall that if you state in the shop comments to the MSC at the end of the report, they DO update the reimbursement/fees for the next cycle if it is not high enough.

For anyone who took any of the shops this round, PLEASE mention this in the comments to see if we can raise the reimbursement $ for everyone's benefit smiling smiley

Quite a few of the locations have a pre fixe or seasonal menu that will get you close. I'm usually out of pocket about 25
I splurged without thinking about costs and went over $45 so it’s not bad.

However, the food was not as good as expected with the price tag.
I did one about a month ago with the new company. Standard report- nothing crazy. No bar portion so we just had a drink at the table. Yes, we went over by quite a bit, but there were excellent leftovers. I took it the SECOND I saw it on the job board as I knew it would disappear in an instant if I didn't grab it. I thought the food was great- I was expecting perfect food and service for those prices, and I certainly got it.

That has been my experience the last couple of visits. I won't pay that out of pocket for that kind of experience but I'm happy to do a report and get a decent dinner for a few dollars out of pocket.

I haven't managed to find this available so I had not looked at the prices, but they really hide them on the website. Even after selecting the location, when I look at the menu it's a lot of talk and no prices. Finally had to go into the online ordering section to see prices. I think I'll pass.
Any hints on the new MSC? I saw the mention of no fee, so I looked at the firm that does a lot of restaurants without a fee and recently changed their board, but didn't see it. They used to have the Blaze Pizza shops that were so detailed for no fee. Is it that company?
The nearest location to me is about 80 miles away, but near one of the nicest shopping malls in the state. If I can find the MSC, I'd be happy to do one and combine it with other shops in that mall or just a day trip to shop and eat!

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
The dinner shops were moved into the "take" category on the new MSC's site very quickly.

What MSC does Ruth Chris?[/quote,

We aren't allowed to say as it's a violation of the contract and forum guidelines.

Hmm...must not be a site with whom I'm registered.
That should be "taken".

Still no help to me, unfortunately. Too bad I can't trade you the Ace Hardware company for this one. ;-)
