OK I am doing the seashell gas shops on Sassie and takes 1/2 hour or more to do the report

They haven't really changed over the last couple years, since they started requiring photos of each pump and the interior store/product selection.
Shell gift card display fully stocked? Credit card apps? Employee and front counter.
Every infraction. All posted POPs, either expired or current. Both sides MID.
Be absolutely certain none of your photos is taken from inside your car.
I hate these; truly. They are the most nit-picky, difficult, time consuming audits I have done -- and I'm sure I've done thousands, over multiple brands, in the past 12 years.
Just one example: Guidelines said "take a photo of the front counter". I did. Very crowded, small store, I stood back as far as possible and took the photo. They (editor) said not acceptable, I didn't get the "front" of the front counter. Phooey. Instructions said get a photo of the front counter, not "get a photo of the FRONT of the front counter". I ended up driving 120 miles to retake the stupid photo.

I agree with Cease. When they first added all the inside(food) photos, I started to stop doing them, but I decided that the fact you only had to photo the pump you fueled at even them out with the other brands. The next thing you know they added all the pumps, but did not take anything away. That's when I said never again.
So, it appears the nit pickiness of the editors is still a concern.
I always went with my own "rule of 4".

For this period, there is a specific element of POP that you have to check for, in three separate locations of the store, and provide pictures of it either in the correct spot/area or if it is missing from that spot/area.
Everything almost exactly the same, except for the three items mentioned by KA047. The requirement to take multiple photos is gone. Only one narrative.
I haven't had trouble with the editors as I did a several years back. It used to be about half of my gas station reports for the old company were put on hold, most of them due to editor error (poorly trained) when it seemed that they were outsourcing the editing. For example, at stations without pay at the pump they would keep deleting the gas receipts because they didn't understand that the register receipt was the gas receipt.
The base pay on these is truly pitiful and insulting, but no one in my area takes any of them at base.

I suggest they have to do at least one shop to see what it is like to take a perfect picture at a busy truck stop. The skill in dodging cars and keeping people out of the photo might make them better editors.
I am having a lot of problems for some reason this round of shops. I have 10 to 20 pumps on each shop and it is taking 1/2 hour or more from the start of editing the pictures till the submit button is pushed for each shop. I need something to speed this up for it is taking 1 day to do 10 shops and then another day to get them filed. I need input, please for I still have 80 more to do by July 8, 2021

I wish I could help you (I would never, ever attempt 10 shops in a day -- I do merchandising on an app, and have managed to do 8-12, but then there's no additional reporting, it's all done on-site on the app). My limit is usually 5 unless they are unusually quick and simple.

The best way I have discovered to do those is to do the survey questions and save on the mobile website, and then add the pictures from my laptop once I get home or to my hotel. Uploading the photos on-site is too slow. It is unfortunate that they have this brand on this platform, rather than the mobile-friendly platform their other brand uses.
I am concerned about the cancellation after I have taken all the photos. Please help me get paid for these shops
OTOH, I use (and still do) a digital camera and a laptop.
I could fly through those shops, taking about 20 to 25 minutes. That includes downloading, reviewing and naming each photo into my laptop.
When I would arrive home, I finish the debrief, or report, in about 5 to 10 minutes (in the comfort of home with an adult beverage).

@French Farmer How are you cropping the pumps? I have a Pixel 3 I am using. Download nor a problem but I still have to crop 12 to 20 pumps. Today the shop time at each shop is around 30 minutes Now I have 10 shops I have to crop and file and still make the first shop around 6 to beat the heat here in Phoenix. @thunderdeacon This round $ 36 each normally (Phoenix this route shops within 15 minutes of each other) with a large drive time of $48
I have learned except for the 1 or no picture chevron or the old blue and gold ones with CRI all gas shops are $50 min for me to do and that's assuming local. The Pegasus brand I now won't touch for $100 local and obvious more on travel. They just want to many pictures and details. A 12 pump one takes anywhere from 40 to 60 mins. The easier 4 pump ones still take 25 to 40 mins depending and that is onsite. Then have to go home and spend another 40 mins on report. Yes I am old school digital camera and laptop. my limit is 5 gas shops a day and thats pushing it.
Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

I agree with this. I don't crop anything. As far as how do you do it on a Pixel, take a screenshot of it and then it will open the editing function on the phone.

With so many gas brands in my area competing for so few shoppers, this brand is going to have to pay quite a bit to get anyone to take them.

And I can't quite believe anybody really believed in "trickle down" economics. At least, as far as I could tell, it didn't trickle down far enough to reach anyone of my acquaintance!

I never, ever crop my pump photos. There is no need to do that. Although, I have cropped photos if the editor asks for a specific part of the shop. For that I use the free version of Photoscape.
But, again, I use my digital camera, not my phone for photos. As I was instructed by the old company, just fill your image with whatever photo you take, leave a little background, etc.
Never had a problem.

Curious...if you take only half an hour to submit a Shell shop, does the MSC send you an email asking you how you were able to complete all the observations in such a short time?
Is there any work you can do as you do them? Literally on your phone where you input as you go, including uploading pictures.
Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
One thing that I will give the company credit for, grudgingly, is the fact that they tend to be more generous with the pay in this project. It's much easier for me to get bonuses in this project than it is for a couple of the easier gas station brands that are in shopmetrics. It's still not as much as I would like usually, but I would say my biggest gas station bonuses have always been in this project.
