Business Credit Card For Mystery Shopping

Hi everyone! I am thinking about trying to apply for a business credit card to use for mystery shopping reimbursements and expenses. Since we are contractors I can assume that we qualify in a sense as a business owner. Has anyone tried this and had any success? I want to make sure I am doing it right and that I am correct with the justification that we are technically running our own business.

Indeed, we are sole proprietors, running our own businesses. However, you could just as easily open any credit card and use it exclusively for MS items.

I was able to open a business account just using my EIN at my bank. Another bank (it was a shop) told me I had to have a dba license. It varies. But really, having the business account did not give me anything I would not have gotten by opening a regular account, except a debit card with "Business Debit Card" printed on the front.
You can if you want.

Just apply using your name, dba (doing business as), and applying using your social security number.

That’s of course, assuming you don’t have an LLC for your business.

It did one very important thing. Your personal finances and your business finances (LLC, LLP, INC people only), are no longer co-mingled. You have thus limited your personal liability and shielded your personal assets from business liability. (IANAL, not legal advice).
I looked into both. I ended up getting a personal card that I use for MS and big ticket items (these get paid off completely within the next billing cycle).

I chose the card that I did because it offers the best cash back for places I shop.

That works unless you are doing a whole lot of gas station shops and they cut your card off because they think someone took your card.
I was able to bypass that by putting an alert on my account. I called customer service and let them know that I would be evaluating multiple gas stations and using their card. No issue.

I have three business cards. I don't have much of a business, I got them for the sweeet sign-up bonuses. They are easy to get.

Thanks for all of the input here. My thought process is to do a mini churn and go through a few different sign up bonuses. I guess the worst that can happen is they decline as I can prove I am indeed shopping and have my own business even if it does not bring in significant income.
