Can anyone tell me the difference between the revealed vs unrevealed Walmart HP audits? I have only done the unrevealed. Thanks.

I did a revealed in Staples. It involved a ridiculous amount of checking for the fee...ink, toner, printers, computers + more + photos + inventory count + out of stock count +++. It was so not worth the fee. If it's that one, stay away.

When done at Staples it is a 50ft away shop. the fee is very low and can take an hour in the very large Staples locations. I only do them in small Walmarts that I know they do not carry anything, or at Targets. At Walmart/Target I do not reveal myself, just go at each display and count/take photos. I was only approached once by an employee asking what I was doing and only because it was 10 minutes before they were closing and senior staff were on the floor.

I did this one at a wholesale club today and it took me all of 15 minutes. I would not touch this at an office supply store or a Walmart though for that price!

How does one do the Unrevealed HP at a Walgreens when the product is behind the counter? The plus side is there isn't much inventory but it's inaccessible.

In our stores it's near the photo counter and it's pretty easy to get photos of it.

I've done two of those in two Staples stores...first one took an hour and a quarter, second one an hour. Very intense. One thing I did in those Staples was go to the computer they usually have at an endcap near the laptops, and type in what I couldn't find, and I was able to see immediately if that particular store had any of the OOS items in their inventory. That did help save time and kept me from chasing down an associate, who would have only done the same thing.

However, tomorrow, I'm doing one in a small Walmart Neighborhood Marketplace. Hopefully will only be there for 15-20 minutes...same fee....that will help level out the other two!

I ONLY do these for that fee at non office supply stores, that I'm passing by. Mostly the one that don't even carry the product or one's that have small inventory. I get emails all the time asking me to do the local office supply stores. I don't respond to those emails.

I did the HP audit in the Neighborhood Market Walmart today. 15 minutes. In and out. Done. I wouldn't mind doing more of those if they come up again....not the larger Walmarts, but these smaller ones.

Best to avoid the BBuys...but the Targets should be very easy, club stores are not too bad. The tighter product set helps. The office stores though, they do not have much in computers, printers yes. If you get an idea of core inventory, how to read the store, verify/anticipate how the store is set and stocked, it only gets bad with lots of OOSs.
