Yet Another Questionable Email from an Editor for a Car Wash Shop

I often do more than one recorded car wash shop for an MSC every month. The MSC uses different editors and some of them range from annoying to aggravating.

This time, the editor emailed me after 10:30 PM and gave me a 12-hour window to respond or risk my shop getting excluded and me not getting paid.

The problem, according to her, was my receipt time (after 9 pm) did not match the time I stated in the report and in the audio recording for this shop.

What she failed to notice was the time zone clearly listed on the receipt was HOURS ahead of my time zone.

What car wash is open after 9 at night?

Good thing I saw her email soon after it was sent and had access to the receipt on my laptop. I won't even get home until after 3 AM and will probably go to bed around 5 AM. By the time I wake up, it will be past the 12-hour deadline.

If she were the only editor for these shops who has sent me questionable emails, I would chalk it up to a simple mistake. I am tired of wasting time responding to these emails.

Time is money.

When receipt times are off like that, I normally put a comment in my narrative to say so and include how far off the receipt time was.

I always double check especially around daylight savings time because a lot of the time the register times are not updated correctly.
The receipt time was correct. It clearly and correctly stated the date, hour, minute, and TIME ZONE the computer/cash register/receipt system used. The editor did not notice the time zone on the receipt was not the same time zone as where this shop was performed.

This car wash client has locations in multiple states.

I emailed the editor an explanation and a copy of the receipt, with the time zone circled. She has not bothered to reply.
Mmm time zones and shop receipts are a finnicky thing.

Similar issue for me but in an online phone shop. The first time the scheduler believed the system was correct and was registering local times. However when I emphasized the store would not be open for the call to even take place they understood and stated they would look into it.
