No Ross Dress for Less for me this month

I shop a lot of "Ross Dress for Less" locations, and this month is a doozy! It includes Women's shoes, Men's shoes, and Bras. THREE of the worst categories in one audit. Usually, the audit only has one of the three. No fee increase either!

I have never seen these and I am signed up with a large amount of companies. Looks like its not worth it anyway.
I had shoes and bras both on my first-ever one of these and kept wondering why it took me so much longer than people here said it would! The shoes weren't too bad, though. The audit was highly bonused, and I'd do another one for the same fee, but never ever at base.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
In my stores, shoes are the worst. But I agree with you, OP, I won't touch this one this month either unless it gets highly bonused.
I miss the purchase & return shops. Those were easy, and easy to work into a route.

I did several this month and luckily for me there were less than 7 mis sized in the shoes but the Bras were another story,
Usually, I can complete the audit in less than 45 minutes but the shoes and underwear take much longer
It usually takes me 1 hour, maybe one hour 15 minutes to do the audits. The stores in my area do not put sizes on the price tags. I have to locate the size inside (or on) each garment, which takes time. I usually take a buggy with me. When I find mis-sized clothing, I place it in the buggy. That way I can count how many are mis-sized and specific sizes. Then, I hang all the mis-sized together for the employee to discover later. Some stores are getting better, but most still have more than seven mis-sized per category. Writing a detailed report is a total pain too, especially when there are many mis-sized in multiple categories.
Yeah when I saw the categories this month it was a pass for me. Shoes are always a pain and to do 2 catagories of shoes - no! I don't even want to think about the bras. One time in bras I had over 50!

The store I did had just the minimum number of mis-sized ones, but the bras? OMG. The dresses had quite a few, too, but the men's and women's tops both were pretty much in order.

Uncomfortable to audit the bras as a male. If questioned can’t think of a reasonable reason for doing that. How many men look for bras for their spouses or girlfriends or both?

A few, especially if they're the lace ones.

I doubt you'll even get a second look though!
Lately, I feel like I have been spotted as a mystery shopper. Maybe I have done too many Ross shops but I started to feel uncomfortable doing my last re-shop. I did the first shop and the store was a mess. Every category had over 7 miss sized items. Later that month I did the re-shop and the store was almost perfect but in every category, an associate was hovering, asking if I need help. I love doing the re-shops as the stores actually seem to read the reports and take care of the problem areas.
the stores near me are always a mess - each one is about an hour. i have to wonder if the reports i submit are even looked at by the store managers, because after doing these for so long, you’d think an effort would be made to clean them up?

shoes aren’t too bad, count and face them forward during the first run through; when peeking at the size, turn mis-sized sideways. last run through, count the sideways shoes. i haven’t found a good system for bras yet.

my favorite part of these though is that when doing the run through of items on the racks, i find hangers hanging backwards from the previous auditor finding mis-sized items from their visit. i used to think it was coincidence, however it’s happened so much to the point that if i see a hanger already hanging backwards, 99% of the time it’s mis-sized.
I wonder if the clerks think, wow that nice person straightened up all the shoes?

haha i never even thought about that! i have gotten the evil eye a couple times for making a shoe alarm go off.
When I do a Ross job, I usually push a buggy around with me. Whenever I find a mis-sized item, I put it in the buggy, and at the end of the size section, I hang the mis-sized clothes together, count, and input the data in my iPhone. That way, the employee has all the clothes together and (hopefully) will put them back where they belong. Sometimes, if it is just a few items, I put them back in the appropriate place myself.
One of the best things I ever figured out to do was figure out who to have every message which contained "Sizing audit," go straight to the trash.
