Police raid next door

Gas station shop. Always been a good neighborhood so I parked next door. Walked behind to take required photos, met by multiple police officers and dogs dealing with a situation at the hotel behind. Lesson learned – – observe all sides of the building before parking car and starting a shop.

Found out later that they were using the recently closed hotel as a training exercise. Looked real to me.

Ummmm....not PC, surely, but my first thought in reading this was "hope you weren't shot"; second thought? "Glad you weren't shot."

That's kind of cool that you got to see that first hand without the danger.

Some years ago, my by-all-appearances-respectable next door neighbor got raided for drugs. I looked outside when I heard tires screeching as they slammed on their brakes in front of his house, having come full speed from both ends of the street. They were over the fence and in the front door literally 10 seconds after they arrived. It was pretty impressive.
They do not mess around. I sometimes will see if the Tulsa PD and Sheriffs departments are doing training in the neighborhood that the city purchased due to flood problems 40 years ago.
