Jack in the box shops?

Glad to see them back in Texas after two months of no Jack assignments, BUT ye gods, if I do these the way I used to (3-5 in a route), I'm going to be wasting a buttload of food with those extra tacos. And starting at $9? With the additional purchase requirement, these aren't going to be worth it to me until they hit about $20.

I think that when you shop Jack in the Box, you have to shop the food that Jack likes. There are only a couple of options that fit within the reimbursement allowance.
They are gone at the base reimbursement amount in a city I frequent. Wow. I am reminded of that nursery rhyme about the old lady in a shoe. I guess she snagged all those Jacks just trying to feed those kids. For a day, at least.
Me either! It's almost laughable that they basically start out a reimbursement only.
I've also noticed the locations in my general area seem fewer and further between. Maybe they are scaling back a little instead of having every location shopped so many times.
Tons of locations in Inland Empire. Might have to do them all. I prefer the $20 ones but $15 isn’t bad for a $6 breakfast
Can anyone who does these frequently confirm with me that the Jumbo Jack combo ends up being the cheapest way to order for these shops? Just want to maximize my take home.

Yes for lunch/dinner. Seems like doing a breakfast shop and buying the cheapest biscuit meal is the best deal now.

But when the order taker asks, "medium or large" make sure you say SMALL! They do sneaky upsells. If you don't say SMALL you will get something more expensive. I get fooled often because I'm busy keeping track of everything else. Another reason why I don't do these too much.

Thanks for both answers. I learned that after my first one about the combo size. In fact, my first one the girl rang up all three things separate. Meaning my meal came out to just under $10. This turned me off of these shops but I got such a heavy bonus on one so I tried again. My combos now go as low as $6.32 and as high as $7.60. The reason for the price disparity I honestly have no idea since the tax is all the same percentage. There is still some quick small money to be made here.

I live close to 3 or 4 different counties and I've learned that the tax percentage is different for all.The total amount will range from 0.05 to 0.50 cents.
What allowance are you talking about? In the past 7 years that I have been doing this, it was always a flat fee Good luck with that. At base fee, you might make 2 or 3 bucks

Quick question: why aren’t the Jack shops marked as Completed with shop grades like 10 like other shops?

The shops are sent directly to Jack. They are not graded by the MSC.
Wow, the Jack shops topped out at $18 this week in my area, even at the almost-impossible-to-fill locations. So, equal or less to what I was usually getting (I did most of mine for $18 or $19) but I have to buy more food.

Yeah, I'll keep waiting. I might even lose a few pounds if I'm not eating there at the rate I was a couple of months ago!

I have never done one of these drive thru shops mainly because I read many of this type require you to snap a photo while in the drive thru. I do not think I could handle that and make sure it is a clear photo so I have not tried these. Do they require a photo from your car?
Yes you take pictures while in car. I have never had a problem with blurry photos and I have done a lot of these shops.

I have never had a problem taking JIB photos through the windshield. Just put the camera close to the windshield to avoid reflections. Sometimes I even get my side mirror in a drive-thru photo, but JIB does not seem to mind.

I always make sure I clean my windshield, drivers door glass, and front passenger door glass before I begin a JIB route. It's just part of pre-shop preparation, just like putting an ice cooler in the car before starting a route of grocery shops smiling smiley

I have always received reimbursement allowance in addition to the job fee. Maybe that is just an advantage of shopping them in NV. I am pleased to see that the new JIB shops program that began this month provides a decent reimbursement allowance that covers the cost of most, or possibly all, the required purchase options.

I have found that the shops now have two more photos for non-breakfast shops, and they have a few more questions. So the non-breakfast shop and report take a little longer now. I have done only 15 of the new shops so far, but I have six more scheduled for tomorrow.

I take most of my pictures through the open window on my driver's door. That really helps with reflection.

Nine times out of ten, you can take the drive-thru lane photo while coming around the corner (after you pull away from the speaker, you usually turn left to come around to the pick-up window). I pause halfway through the turn and quickly snap the lane. My window is still down from ordering at this point. Most times there will be other cars ahead of you which make it even easier because the employees are not looking at you.

Once in a great while I've been at a speaker ordering that is already lined up with the pick-up window part of the lane. In these cases, I snap it through my windshield.

I've never had a shop rejected for photos. Actually, I'm not sure I've ever had a Jack shop rejected, and I've done hundreds of them.

Once your used to these shops; they are super easy ..You should try one at least to see if you like it. They get bonused quickly and frequently, however I accidentally burnt myself out and signed up for too many on the last round. I think Ive seen it mentioned before but I wish they included a small optional box to give some more feedback..sometimes photos by themselves is not enough
Also the Drive thru photos are not that bad anymore. They used to make you take a photo of the actual drive thru window..
Also on your first go round..I would say to give yourself about 10 to 20 minutes excluding the drive thru time to make sure you got all the necessary photos. I would say about an 45 to 60 min for the report. Of course youll get faster the more you do the shops.

They have a section with additional pictures. I have used that for comments as it has a comment just below the picture.
I have also made frequent use of the additional photo feature to add in "visual" comments with a bit of descriptive text.

I hope you meant "4.5 to 6.0 min"
My favorite. Near me you can knock out 4 or so an hour! That’s good pay! Get the cheapest food and be quick switching between stopwatch and camera mode.
Sometimes some of the JIB locations have an employee standing in front of the preview menuboard waiting to take my order the second I drive up. Here is a little trick worked the last time that situation occurred. I told the order taker that I was going to need a couple minutes, and he turned around and moved away. It took me no more than a second to get the photo of the menuboard.

Good idea. I had that once and took the picture at an angle. I like your idea better.
I've only had an outside order taker once in the hundreds of Jack shops I've done. IIRC, I waited until after I got my food, parked a little distance away at an angle where I could get a good shot, and zoomed in on the menu board after the fact. Of course, not all parking lots are set up in a way you could do that.
I was trying to consider the person I was posting for would be a first time shop for them. For me I got freaked out because of the part on the shop that says they have 0 tolerance for mistakes and they would block you from the program etc if there are an abundance of mistakes. It does tend to take me about 20 min for the report part..just fyi
