Gas Station editor

A few days ago I did a Chevron Image. That report was sent back to me because on the pump pictures it was not clear which credit card apps were beside the pump. The editor stated that the credit card apps were not the correct ones and to give them the infraction. I sent her the original pump pictures outside of the app (to input your report) where you could see that they in fact did say 47/37. I explained that it was a trick of the lighting that made them look like the ink was black. She took all the comments away and did not accept the report or decline the report. So now the report appears to have not been reviewed yet.
Then yesterday I did another one. She sent it back to me and said that solid grey bumper poles are not allowed, I've been doing these for THREE years since they were with the other MSP. The guidelines clearly state that solid grey bumper poles are allowed and the update letter does not dispute this. She is also asking me to give them an infraction for not having credit card holders and as such an infraction for not having credit card apps at the pumps. This was never an infraction with the previous MSP.
Is there something new going on that I don't know about? Or have I made an enemy of this editor? Or is this simply a new editor who doesn't know what she's doing yet? What am I supposed to do? Agree to give infractions where none is due? This disturbs me greatly. (FYI, this is basically a good store with six infractions (that I gave which I was kind of tough on them). (meaning that I didn't overlook a couple of things that I could have because they had the room to get the infraction and learn how to correct it.) And what the heck is going on with the first Chevron???

There is definitely a problem with pictures, as each opens the shopper up to losing the work and money. I have posted on several occasions concerning my first assignment that mentioned a pic.

14 years ago, I accepted a job that paid $15 + a $5 reimbursement + $5 for an OPTIONAL pic. It was to ascertain if a college student was at a sandwich shop handing out credit apps for Chase. My point is that was almost 1 1/2 decade ago and $5 for a single pic that was optional. Some of you folks are out there taking dozens of required pics for less..
Not having applcation holders at the pumps has always been an infraction for Chevron, or it has for the last 18 years I've been doing them. Gray BOLLARDS are acceptable, but not gray BUMPER POLES.
My guess is that the MSC is paying the editors crap and as a result they get a crappy editing job.

I had an issue with an editor inventing rules on a different type of shop for the same MSC. I wrote a nice e-mail making my case and asking that she either reverse her decision or escalate the matter to a superior. The superior accepted my report. Even though I was right, I was surprised that the editor didn't try to bury the issue.

I don't know what state you live in but in Georgia, our editor said if they didn't have application holders to give them a yes when it was the old MSP. So that editor was wrong and no editor after that ever corrected us! And there are two of us. And this happened a couple of years ago. I bet I can still find the email.

Most companies view bumper poles and bollards exactly the same. In three years we've never given anyone an infraction for that. The first year I don't remember (four years back). I gave everyone an infraction if they didn't have white with stripes until someone told me they could be white or gray.
I think we have new editors on the Chevron shops. I'm getting a few sent back for stuff they never sent them back for before too.
The Chevron guidelines plainly show the difference between bollsrds and bumper poles and there are different requirements for each.l realuze some companies consider bollards and bumper poles the same but Chevron does not, as clearly shown in the guidelines.
Put your images on your computer and then upload them. That eliminates phone app issues.
I won’t do gas station shops that don’t use an app. Taking photos of multiple pumps etc and uploading them to a report on computer takes too long. With the app shops, it’s all done when you’re on location. Take the photos in app, answer the questions and it’s finished when you leave. I did dozens, if not hundreds of these for the old MSC at reasonable rates. Doing them on a computer later is not worth my time.

I bought a 10" tablet so that I could do the gas station shops on the sassie platform easily on site. I do the mystery portion of the shop, present the LOA and whatever leave behind forms, take all the pictures and then find a shady spot and load everything into the survey while I'm there so I don't miss any pictures.

And I don't know who decided that the sassie platform was "mobile friendly" because it clearly isn't. But on the tablet it's much easier than it is on a phone. and I usually come close to or sometimes beat the times it used to take with the old MSC's app. But honestly, I'd rather use the app, it was VERY much easier.
