It looks as if I need to learn to love gas station audits. Lol. They’re everywhere!!

Yeah we go into a lot of discussions here on the forums about them. There are some people so seasoned with these that its probably all they do in the MS world. I am trying to get myself to bite the bullet and do them but honestly it seems that fees have gone so south since I started this game and I always get easier and faster shops at the end of the month when bonuses come around. If they want them done at the beginning of the month however I really would consider it.
I make about 50% of my total full time income doing these. That said, I never do them without a bonus. They are never worth my time at base pay; I can make more money with other projects. Once the bonuses start kicking in, they become a valuable source of income.
If one is not in need of cash, restricting money shops to the last week of a month, quarter or year is definitely advisable. You will, of course, lose some work, but what you receive will be much more profitable. As an example, in Sept. I watched a 10 minute shop grow from $12 to $30 throughout the month before I self assigned. IF the non-needy would only stop working for a pittance, the industry would undergo a positive change for shoppers.

It is true, gas stations are everywhere, and that may seem fabulous at first when considering them for a source of income. However, at the beginning of a work cycle or round, when there are the most number of shops available, it is also at the lowest pay rate. So if you are okay with working at the lowest pay rate, you'll never have any shortage of work available to you. It's only when you would like to make more money at a higher pay rate that you will have fewer, and fewer options available to you based on how much more you would like to make.

For me personally, I would rather get a regular job than work at "any pay" rate because I know if someone shows that kind of willingness to work within this industry, they will get taken advantage of. The account managers just love enthusiastic shoppers that pay no attention to these things because that is how they get rich. The less you make, the more they make.
