Many in this country, including myself, have ancestors who came to the US from other countries. Their unique cultures blended and are now mostly gone. Some fragments or reminders of culture as it was when it arrived here and expressed through their lives then might live on in preserved literature, passed-down family stories or recipes. textiles, or family records, but that world is essentially gone now. If people want to live in the United States, they should be aware that this country includes parts of-- but not the entirety of-- other places, times, and cultures. The United States changes people. but does not let everyone live here as if they were still living in other countries. If anyone wants so much immersion in any other culture, let them move to the site of that culture. There is nothing wrong with words and phrases such as Oriental, Occidental, Northern Hemisphere, or Southern Hemisphere. Geography
should still be a useful study of places and how place affects people.
But back to Panda.
I like Panda Express. I have been eating there on my dime and on the fly. I really should try to pick up some shops.
