Most Android phones have a basic telephone recorder built into the operating system. The instructions for how to do this on the Samsung Galaxy S21 family are here: [
www.androidbeat.com] I chose that phone because I have an S21 Plus. Search Google for your own Android phone model.
The link that I provided includes this warning: "Call recording is subject to local laws. In some regions, call recording is completely illegal, while in others like California, both parties should consent. This is one reason why customer care executives inform that the lines are recorded for monitoring and training purposes.” As has been noted on this Forum in the past, "eleven states require two-party consent. In other words, everyone involved in a conversation must agree to be recorded. Those states are California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington." [
www.rev.com] If you are in one of those states or calling someone in one of those states, you need the consent of the person you are calling in order to legally record them. This is also true if you are recording a conversation (does not have to be on a phone) that you have with someone in a location where there is an expectation of privacy.
