It has been posted here that the shop is basically the same with the new company. Can i assume then that the new shops will not require any dumb questions of employees? I can’t see the new requirements yet.
No questions are required. The questionnaire is pretty much the same, they don't ask about the manager, you don't have to put in the receipt number or the number of items you purchased. When you do one be sure to read the responses they are a bit different than with the original MSC. Some have more options on responding.
I don't think that this info violates the ICA...just did a shop with the new MSC and there were a few bumps. Hopefully this info will be helpful for y'all.

Just FYI, if you are using the app and think that you can skip to different portions like the "old" app, NOPE! In fact you can't enter anything until you put in a reimbursement amount and the time you entered (that is OK) AND left!!! It also won't let you go to the next screen if you have left a question blank.

There is no way I could remember all of the details for the associate interactions without writing something down. And I have done hundreds of shops with the old MSC.

I hope that I like the new app better on the next shops. I was very frustrated today.
Long in to the long time MSC and there is an announcement that tells who the new MSC is.

This is my fear about this new MSC. I've done shops, but the unworkable app, long time payout, what will be the fee and reimbursement and will there be PAD.

I did 2 today and the app will not work. It was difficult remembering if the meats were in stock and the descriptions. I guess i can go back to the old days of hiding in the bathroom to answer questions while i have wifi.
I'll just use my message app or a piece of paper. Like the current MSC app. Works well.

If you worry about the payout time, you are probably in the wrong business.
The important thing is that they pay when they say they will.
We all want to be paid sooner, but really what is the difference?

I would not do any job for less than I require just to get paid sooner.
Anyone in other markets seen these shops move to the new company? I’m surprised they haven’t transitioned yet.
The reason ANY place is shopped is for marketing stats,,.they have no reason to find out how they are doing currently with limited staff and limited shelves…
You obviously don't have much experience in running a business. From the 70's, it was common practice to offer a small discount for quicker pay on invoices. I have a rule: I'll give you fast reports for fast pay.

At the "new company" I could not locate any Kroger locations. I was able to expand my search radius to 125 miles from home. I will continue to explore this shop opportunity because I like the "new company" and already know where several Kroger locations are (with all their various store names) within more than 125 miles from home.

The "new company" says on their website they are getting these at the end of January..... Still waiting.

Yes but when you are waiting like its going to be Christmas it seems like it should already be here winking smiley
Has anyone else not had their pay for December shops delivered? I have three that say they were processed on 1/17, but they have not yet hit my bank account. I'm hoping that by posting this, that this payment will magically appear today.

One of my December shops (the first one that had horrible app issues) was finally approved and is pending payment.

I'm ok with waiting 5-6 weeks for pay, but they say that they pay between the 17th and 20th of the month following the shop. WHY is it taking a week to get this pay deposited?

IS anyone else having this issue? Or is it just me? Did you get January pay for Kroger shops yet?

I just checked and I've received three January payments for Kroger shops.

The announcement is no longer there.
I just found assignments for these shops in my area, for the first couple of weeks in February.
I found them in my area today. The other company used to give me a very generous PAD to shop the very remote locations. I'm curious to see if the new MSC will be doing that. I picked up two so they see I know how to do the reports. We'll see if I keep doing them.
So, I've been doing Ralph's( in SoCal) with the current mystery shop company for years. I usually do 8 of them a month. They have a mobile app that makes it so simple to do these shops. I'm a 5 star shopper with the new MSC and I assigned myself 4 of these ( all self checkout). I wonder if there is a rotation like with the other company. I also would get PAD for some locations. I took a Sam's club return with the new MSC, it was originally 12 bucks, I waited and now its 17. I have something to return anyway and Sam's is super close to my house. I gotta say, I'm kinda bummed about the previous MSC losing the Kroger contract.

I text myself notes.

From the information I got I believe you can do each location twice a month. You have to choose different scenario which there are three. I have 4 within a 4 minute drive from each. This means I only really would have to go once every two weeks on a little route and if I use the fee and the reimbursement I could essentially get the basics of the month down (meats, toiletries ect..) then head to the store for stuff that goes bad quicker when I need to. I am excited to give it a go. let's see.

What's the third scenario? I only see self check out and full service check out. Am I missing something?
I was able to assign the same location multiple times in a 2-week time frame as long as there was several days in between. So it doesn't look like the same kind of rotation as with the old MSC.
I pulled an old email saying this

"You may perform 2 per location per month. Shops at the same location need to be spaced by a minimum of 2 days. If you perform one on 12/5, the next one at the same location can’t be performed until 12/7"

If I can remember correctly the third scenario had to to with having to go into a line that had someone bagging groceries. There was self checkout, normal checkout and normal checkout +1.
I asked the scheduler and this is what she told me.

There are rotation rules that are in place for the Kroger shops. All of the rules in place are at Kroger’s request. We will however be evaluating them in the next few weeks and we may be able to modify them at a later date. If you have a request that is over any of these rules then feel free to email the scheduler for the assignment in question.

They allow up to 4 shops per day
They allow up to 2 shops per location per period
All shops need to be at least 3 days apart at any specific location. Since shops need to be 3 days apart then you would not be able to complete 2 shops at the same location over a weekend.
There is not however a limit to the total number of shops that a shopper can complete each period as long as the rules above are followed.
I was able to book three of my four local Krogers stores, twice each for February. I'm guessing somebody else grabbed the "Marketplace" location.
Anyway, I'm not seeing an option for requesting "PAD" or distance pay. I suppose that'll only be available when schedulers reach out.
