The company must be thinking in terms of percentages from the ridiculous starting rate which was $8.00
I can’t figure what $500 item I could get into a cart to abandon. Maybe a dishwasher?
I had one yesterday who emailed me pleeeading for help and offering a bonus I thought was acceptable. I was on the road so I immediately responded back. No response for 30 minutes so I sent a follow up email. No response. But then in another 30 min I get a personal text message pleeeeeeeeeading for help for this shop. I explained that I have emailed already and can take it to please let me know asap. No response for another 30 min and I told them screw it because now I am not going to make sure I am in the area. Still no response like "another shopper took it thank you." MSC rhymes with "penitentiary" and boy I can't wait to get another text asking to help them so I can explain why I will never even think about reading another text from them.
If this is the same email I got, the HUGE bonus is only $7, making total pay $15. And I would have to ask the same question of the floor employee and the cashier, then wander off from my $500 item in the cart. Umm. no.
Home Depot employees must really hate mystery shoppers. Between these shops and the purchase approximately $300 worth of products then return them an hour later shops, they really must feel like the shopping programs waste labor hours.

Someone on a prior thread said they found a power tool that met the criteria, but it took about 15 minutes trying to find someone who could unlock the cage they were secured in.

I think it was for one of those "$300 worth of products then return them an hour later shops".
The employees get paid at the same hourly rate no matter what they are doing.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Los Angeles point of view. $8 was ridiculous even if I was already in the store. It takes a half hour just to find someone to ask questions of. But that bonus of $7 is absolutely huge for LA. Most bonuses are $2-3 and called huge in the emails I get.
Hard to find an open checkout line where I live. I have done these for 15.00 in the past but never brought an item up to checkout. There are other ways to get the desired result.
