Texas Roadhouse Lingering on the Boards

They do seem to break rotation if they really need the shop completed. I did a bar shop and then a dine in shop, with bonus, about 30 days later at the same location.

Oh and just for a heads up, if you do the sit at the bar shop - notice the napkins and straw holders. The straws are no longer in a paper or plastic covering. They just sit there with nothing to protect them, so people are putting their maybe dirty, nasty fingers all over the straws (you can't just pic one as they are packed in tight) and your stuck with a dirty straw. Same for napkins.

Add to above post: I, too, have noticed that TXRH shops sit on the job board for a long time and even with a nice bonus, they still sit. Like so many comments here, I have wondered if it is the increase in prices, decrease in reimbursement, the food has gotten bad (really bad at some locations), the employees just don't seem to care, or is it the scheduler getting more and more out of control and continuing to use the snarky emails with these shops.

I think the pandemic has changed many people, in the way we do or do not accept shops. There were shops I used to do like phone call shops or picking up a quick shop if it was on my route, even though the pay was low. I no longer do those shops. And obviously, neither do many people. When having to stick to a script, and type in the report what has been recorded (word for word) and asking all the required questions, yet not getting paid enough for a gallon of gas, I take a hard pass now. Maybe our pay will go up, as other industries have.
I see dine in and bar shops have been released - no take out yet. I hope they don't discontinue takeout. They are the only ones I get to shop.
I snagged a take-out/curbside shop at my local location because they finally upped the reimbursement. I stopped doing them when they dropped to $25. It's now $35 here.

We won't do dine-in there; the place is always mobbed, and people are elbow-to-elbow. I may try a sit-at-the-bar shop by myself during the day, at a location I'm often near but have never shopped, when it might not be so busy. We're just not keen on dining out at crowded places anymore.

I learn something new every day, but not everyday!
I've learned to never trust spell-check or my phone's auto-fill feature.
They have increased the reimbursement and increased it to a 90 day rotation, but they are sitting on the board in my area as well. I've only done one recent dine-in there since the pandemic, and we had a 45 minute wait for a table. The food was really good, and once we were seated, the service was very good, but waits like that may well discourage my shopping partner, and I am not inclined to do this one as a dine-in alone. There could be more than one reason why they are sitting on the board in my area.

You need to do call ahead seating. Just make sure you call at least an hour before you actually want to eat.

Also, try to do the shop on a Monday or Tuesday, they are less busy. Wednesday they have a special and the weekends are just crazy.
Actually, I did call ahead. It was a shop requirement. They told me that there was no need to call ahead and that they did not have a waiting list. However, by the time we got there, they had a 45 minute waiting list. It was a madhouse. I can't really make it on Monday or Tuesday; Wednesday is my choice during the week. So there is that for me. Those are good things to know if you have a flexible schedule though.

It may not be either here nor there but one thing I have noticed from both personal experience as well as my co-workers is that TRH, the restaurant--not necessarily the MSC--takes forever. You're looking at 90 minutes of your time. I'm not sure if the requirements are dining alone but 90 minutes eating by yourself in a noisy restaurant where everyone else is with someone is not a comfortable experience in my book. That may be the reason they linger--just my 2 cents.

Just be cool folks.
The food is supposed to be delivered in 15 minutes, and at my local Texas Roadhouse, it's usually very close, within about 20-22 minutes. Doesn't take forever here, even on weekend nights when they are packed. You can take guests. The dining shop used to require at least one guest, but now I believe it is optional. The bar you can also take a guest.
My Roadhouse shop scheduled for next week was just cancelled. The message read that "the client asked we do not do this shop". Anyone else have a similar issue?

I think the Texas Roadhouse shops should linger on the boards. They need to add bonuses. I just did a Texas Roadhouse shop for the 1st time in 3 or 4 years, I think, because it sat on the boards long enough to get a bonus, so I was interested in doing it. If folks would stop working for free food, Or discounted food, I would do a lot more of these shops, because I really like Texas Roadhouse, but I don't work for free.

And I shop for discounts on taking my family out to eat or do fun things. There are shoppers of all types and situations so no need to sound condescending since you are only in it to profit. Obviously most shoppers agree that these are worth picking up for no bonus as the reimbursement is generous and the work involved to complete the shop is less than 30 minutes. When I saw the reimbursement went up I had to reread all the guidelines thinking they wanted a bunch more information but it was the same old report!

No, It's not for profit, it's for survival. I make enough money to pay my utility bills and feed my dogs. Every other penny I make goes into the gas tank (or parts for this forking Jeep). My son and I are currently trying to balance paying $97 for car insurance with $48 between the two of us in our checking accounts. I have several routes ready to go... just waiting on money and the ability to refill the gas tank. I don't have the means to pay for "entertainment" or taking my kids or grandkids out. I WILL NOT WORK FOR FREE.

IMO you shouldn't either.

Having a free meal at a place I enjoy like TXRH is worth it to me. There's shops that I dont touch unless there is a good bonus like JITB since I dont even want to eat the food. I dont touch the Sonic shops until they are 8-10. Certain things are worth little to no profit to me and certain things are. The Roadhouse shops in my area have never had a bonus unless it was some late cancellation thing. I am not doing MS to pay my bills and I basically just do food or entertainment shops which are the lowest profit shops you can do.
I just did a pick up shop for TRH tonight. That has to be one of the easiest reports in the history of MS. Food was good, just too far of a drive in rush hour traffic to get back home with the food still hot. I was able to get plenty of food for $.54 over reimbursement including the required tip. I only do one or two a year of these..so go get 'em.
